Lost 2-1 and quite simply , this was an abject performance. We look very poor in midfield. Lacking in creativity and pace. Billy Crook was the best central midfielder on show tonight no doubt

I couldn't make the game last night Ian so thanks for the report. Have always rated Bill. Thought he played well when we beat them at their gaff a few weeks ago, it was a shame when he left us. Its such a pity we keep blowing hot and cold as we could be well clear and on top of this league otherwise. Hope to see you Saturday.

Not really a report more a frustrated rant. We played OK in patches and Sweeneys goal was a beauty. We just don't seem to want it enough. Waldren looks like a player who knows he is out of form. Unless we shoot at a set piece our corners and free kicks are woeful. It staggers me Carew can get a shot up and over a wall from 35 yards with power on target but can't get a corner past the first man. One winger isn't working and the gap between midfield and defence is too large. Sankofa was poor against a decent winger and cost us the first goal. We peppered the goal with long shots and a couple of great saves may have changed the game, one a reflex save from Waldren and one from a possible Scannell misfit. Ethan also hit the post in a desperate attempt to snatch a draw. A frustrating night

Cheers Ian. I am semi glad I missed it. I wonder how far Jack Dixon is away from fitness. Assuming he didn't play last night?
