Whilst the crowd under the toilets opposite stand looked good, banners etc. The noise was no different to that that has previously come from behind the goal and certainly nothing like the away support at Tonbridge a couple of weeks ago! Not sure it's the best idea!

As for the game I wasn't overly impressed with them apart from their 34,35 & 36 who I suspect might be the on loan players? I thought we gave it a decent go with Pinnock, Scannell & McDonald the stand out players for us.

Still don't get why we play so many players out of the best positions though, Clunis, Jarrett & McDonald today. Also think Dixon deserves a decent go possibly instead of Carew who looked very lightweight in midfield today.

Phil was also excellent again!

I don't like Clunis & Jarret on their 'wrong' side. Neither is comfortable enough on his weaker foot to play that way for me. Hibbert is our only wing option who looks equally comfortable on either flank, and he's mostly played at full back this season.

Carew is a luxury player in the sense that he's not quite ideal in any orthodox position. He's a great dead ball specialist and has the flair and ability to open up any defence, but offers very little when the opposition gains possession, which is potentially very risky when he plays at half back and puts additional pressure on Waldren to cover his back.

McDonald was sensational yesterday, especially after Moss came on and he dropped deeper.

Have to agree, McDonald is better in the 10, didnt really understand why Moss didnt get a start, he is a striker. Gavin bemoans our ability to be clinical in front of goal in his post match interview but not having a striker wont help that. Jarrett and Clunis should surely have the choice to switch during the game as well

I thought Pinnock who is normally so secure gave 2 chances on a plate to Guiseley both of which we got away with

Although we huffed and puffed in the second half we didnt really stretch their (very short) keeper until the gung ho last 10 mins

a decent performance against a Conference side however but does show where we are right now

We would be clear if there were hockey like rules and Cares came on for the big plays. I thought we gave a very good account of ourselves considering IMO we played a lot of the gane with 9 players. Like PP said Carew is a luxury and Jarrett is ineffective in most positions. Onwards and upwards and concentrate on winning the division.
