Whilst I love the speed of twitter and finding out scores at the touch of a button I also like an opinion or 2 after game. Being away for the last 3 friendlies has given me updates on the scores but not lots else. Thanks to the official site and PP for their reports. I'm an old dinosaur but still think the forum has a big part to play post match

As someone who detests, deplores and deprecates twitter I agree that this should be the place to get the news.
I've been away 2 months, came back last week and have been trying to piece together what's happened to last year's team in the close-season. It looks like there have been some big changes. I'm hoping you guys can enlighten me.
I learn from Professor Google that Erhun eventually went to Peterborough, and we wish him all the very best. & note from the Ryman site that Billy Crook has moved to Met Police. But what happened to Adeniyi, Deen, Boyer, Ottaway, Ellis Green, Jerome Walker, Ian Daley? (none of whom feature in the reports I've read of our friendlies) If they've all gone, I'd love to know why they left and where they'll be playing this season.
I haven't been able to make any of the friendlies, but it looks to me that we're going be relying largely youngsters with only Gonsalves and Wilson at the back, Lodge and Clunis up-front being established first-teamers? It'd be good to have a bit of a low-down on some of the names I don't recognise.

The website has all the info for you thanks in main to Mishi, Liam, and Griff.

I believe Adeniyi retired and heads up some community work. Ottaway is still here but bruised his leg. Ellis has gone to VCD. Daly has gone to Cray but is unseen by me in their match reports.
Personally I think that the other forum gets more traffic and we should just unify under that banner http://www.urban75.net/forums/forums/dulwich-hamlet-fc.93/
Even though I prefer this forum it is better to have one forum and not two, and the other has more use.

Agree with Michael that I really quite like this forum set-up but tend to use twitter et al and the urban75 site in the main now, just checking this one occasionally. It would be really nice to have one main home for all DHFC natterings. That's the nature of splurging web communication though I guess. I definitely get a lot of good info and opinion from the more mainstream social sites (eg twits) though find it mildly annoying to have to track a lot of tags and keywords to soak it all up. Still, it's evidence enough of a growing diverse fan base down at DHFC and myriad social media outlets connected to the club, which is a lovely thing to behold.
PS - A few rambling opinions: New squad looks great in my view. Will take a bit of time to settle. Echepare in goal looks solid. Love Phil but heard he's happy to step aside. We'll have bags of fun with Hamici. Hope Ash Robinson edges into the starting XI. Like his all-round ability. Carew adds quality. Surprised Gav is favouring Forbes at centre back so far as he looks a bit creaky and stand-off-ish to me but we'll see. Clunis remains die-hard and super versatile. He'll contribute a lot - as always. Would like to see Vidal or Hysi get a run in midfield. Both a tad lightweight bit I think one of them could work wonders against some of the more 'tired' sides. Very excited to see that we have a lot of players that can crack them in from 20-30+ yards this season and aren't afraid to have a dig.
