Tough game against opponents who always look a well drilled side. Hard game to call with neither keeper making a save of not (that I can remember)but Dulwich taking a chance midway through the second half and then wrapping it up with almost the last kick of the game. Missing Kershaney and Kevin James and losing McDonald in 10 mins meant a reshuffled pack. Losing Nyren towards the end with what looks like a bad shoulder injury, Lodge already on the sidelines our team may be depleted Monday

Carew again looks imposing in everything he does and Pinnock is mopping up everything at the back alongside Forbes.

Not a vintage performance agaisnt a Lewes side with just two points from four previous games. In fact with better finishing the visitors may well have recorded their first win of the season. Hamlet had more of the play in the first half without testing the visiting keeper, while Lewes wasted the best chance of the half when a ragged Hamlet backline left their centre forward onside in the centre with Wilson looking hopelessly exposed, but he scuffed a poor shot wide. Wilson was also lucky not to be penalised for picking up a backpass that was clearly played towards him intentionlly. (He possibly didn't see who played the ball due to other players in front of him and may have thought it was an underhit shot.)

It took a while for us to find any real rhythm after the break, but Hamlet broke the deadlock when Carew crossed low into the six yard box from teh right for Clunis to sweep the ball inside the keeper's right hand post. Lewes pressed hard for an equaliser but in stoppage time Mansaray broke away after a corner had been cleared, outpacing the covering defenders and drawing the keeper before unselfishly slipping the ball wide for Vidal to crash into the empty net.

We're picking up a worrying number of injuries. Echepare, Ottaway, Lodge, James and Samuels were all unavailable for this match, while McDonald and Clunis limped off during yesterday's game. If none of those is fit tomorrow we'll be relying on one or two relatively unproven players to step up, which Mansaray for one already seems to be doing in the last few games. I thnk we've looked a stronger all-round unit this season and perhaps less reliant on a small number of key players, but for me Kevin James is still very influential and a big loss when unavailable. Our slump last March coincided with his absence through injury, and when he came back he wasn't consistently at his best as the indifferent results continued to derail our challenge for the play-offs.

Lewes already look like they may be in for a struggle, winless after five games and having fallen away badly during the second half of last season. They didn't play that poorly, but looked less effective than last season, when they delivered two good all-round performances against the Hamlet.

Team (4-3-3): Wilson - Kamara, Forbes(c), Pinnock, Patterson - Carew, Hibbert, Vidal - Clunis, Hamici, McDonald.
Subs: Mansaray (for McDonald), Neita (for Hamici), Hysi (for Clunis), Gonsalves, Reid (not used).
Attendance: 763
