Arthur Kingsmill - ex-player back in the day

Evening all,
I'm wondering whether or not Dulwich would keep history items back from the 1940-50's. My Grandad used to play for Dulwich Hamlet back in the day and I would love to surprise him for Christmas with some things about his time back playing for you.
He has some bits and bobs, but if there is anything I could lay my hands on from that period of time I would love to give that to him.
Is there anyone I could contact in regards to this?

Used to be a left-back/outside-left and had to give up playing for Dulwich due to injuries.

He always went on about his Dulwich stories when I was younger and would love to get some stuff for him.

Many thanks,
Billy

Am able to let you have programme for Dulwich Hamlet Reserves v Bromley Reserves played 9 April 1955 in which A Kingsmill is shown playing at right back. Also have some older reserve team programmes in which the name R Kingsmill appears, also playing right back.Any relation?

That would be absolutely amazing Exile, greatly appreciate that.

R Kingsmill though, that would have been his brother, my great uncle - Ron. He actually went on to play cricket after. But unfortunately passed away 2-3 years ago now.
Thanks again Exile.

Try John Lawrence via the football club. Or alternatively, try the Hamlet Historian Facebook page. Or Jack McInroy (who runs it) may see your message here!

Do you know if you could be more specific, with regard to the seasons? That's quite a wide timescale you've suggested...

I got an email back from John Lawrence, the years he was part of hamlet were 1949 to late 50's. had a bit of information, but would love to find out more! Played and represented London FA Juniors and won a Cap and Badge. Couldn't have been a bad player!

Thankyou for the suggestions though, I shall join that group and ask in there!
