Tonight... (Monday)

Maidstone won 3-1 at Billericay and Hendon beat Met Police 2-1 at Home.

Hendon are up to 2nd, with games in hand, 2nd and 3rd places are gone for us but with Met Polices defeat we still have a decent cushion between us, them and the rest!

What the hell has happened to you lot???

Most of us would much prefer a proper club like DH, with proper fans, joining us in the CS.

I think you've got enough points to stay in the play-off - as long as you do eventually remember how to win games (but not against us!), so please get your act together in time for the play-offs.

Or is it that you never actually want to leave the Isthmian League?!

Based on our form over the last 6 weeks we frankly don't deserve a play off place. Its only because the Met Police are just as crap as we are that we remain in the top 5.

I'd like us to be in CS but on merit. Unless we start to bag some goals again the run is going to prove tough. Every team we play with the possible exception of Tonbridge Angels on the last day of the season will have something to play for against us, East Thurrock, Wingate, Enfield, Hendon, Maidstone - all have promotion or the playoffs as their goal, Witham need the points to escape relegation. Its been said elsewhere but we need to find the settled pattern of play we had earlier in the season and lose the fear of shooting that seems to have gripped the team of late.

Well, obviously I don't want you turning it on against us! But otherwise I wish you all the best (and I'm sure I'm not the only Stones supporter to think that way) - we need more teams like Dulwich, whichever league we're in (and fewer like Margate!).

I think you'll manage to make the play-offs though, as long as you manage a couple of wins/draws - it's a lot to ask the teams outside the play-off zone to get past you. And then it's every team for itself - play-offs are more like cup finals, than league games, all that matters is what you do on the day.

Mind you, Maidstone are more than capable of screwing up even a 12 point lead, so I reserve the right to withdraw all this madly optimistic guff!

Wins for Enfield and Grays tonight but Bognor only drew.

Just 5 points between the last play off place and 14th place!!! Going to be a nervy end to the season!!

Hendon playing again tomorrow v Canvey!!

3 wins in 5 days!

All at home, but still good going.

Hate to think what state their 'pitch' must be by now though...
