That point for Margate means we cant finish any better than 4th even if we win all our remaining
games . I think I may have taken that at the start of the season but it could have been so much more.
The biggest threat to our 4th place comes from 6th place Enfield who have a much easier run in than Grays who have to play Hendon and Maidstone. We could of course still miss out on a play off place but I think 4 points from
the final 9 should secure at least 5th spot. Lets start with at last a point at Hendon please.

Actually 5 points out of the final 9 will guarantee 5th spot unless Enfield knock in a 6-0 and improve their goal difference.

I never quite know what to read into results like this in terms of whether or not it gives us any sort of advantage for tomorrow, although it seems strange that the game was played last night rather than on Wednesday, given that neither side played on Tuesday.
One of our supporters (primarily a Dover Athletic supporter who like ticking new grounds with the Hamlet) was there last night and described the game as 'bruising' with a couple of Hendon players picking up heavy knocks. Apparently two of their goals came from free kicks (as did our own winner at Margate) which sounds a bit ominous, as we often put ourselves under pressure by conceding unnecessary free kicks in our own half.
Personally I'm fairly confident we can get at least one point, as we've fared much better against the other leading sides this season: 6 wins, 5 draws, and just one defeat (away to Grays in September) from 12 matches against the other sides in the current top eight.

Thursday does seem strange, though with two games over the Easter weekend, Saturday and Monday, I suppose a third game in five days would be tough on both sides as opposed to two over 36 hours or so. Believe game was switched from next week (Wed 15th) as Hendon are in the League Cup final, Margate having originally been scheduled to travel to Billericay yesterday.
