What's the difference between having no players or no staff?

Nothing surprises me at Chipstead. Had dealings with them at Junior level. My favourite was on a freezing frosty morning where a corner of the pitch was like concrete. Their manager said 'its only in this corner though isn't it'. Oh that's alright then we wont play in this bit

I like this bit: "It is an off-the-field problem. Saying we are unable to raise a team makes me look stupid, and it simply isn't true."

It may not technically be true, but Simple Simon has made himself look stupid. His club arranged a fixture and had to cancel at 48 hours notice because they couldn't fulfil it.
