I've done similar write-ups for friends visiting my local club, and I know how much effort goes into getting those little landmarks right, like which pub sits on the corner or where the bridge is. That's actually the same instinct I bring to photos I take at matches, because I want the atmosphere to survive the edit, and using a black and white converter on https://skylum.com/luminar/black-and-white-photo-editor helps me pull out the texture of a muddy pitch or a packed terrace without the distraction of clashing colors. Not every shot works in monochrome, and I've ruined a few by overdoing it, but when it lands, a simple photo of a floodlit pitch feels like it belongs in an old programme.
