Defending hasnt really been the problem. Its the lack of goals.
As seen on twitter:
@harrowboro_fc (1.37 conceded per game) have a better defensive record than title chasing @DulwichHamletFC (1.52) & Leiston (1.53).
I feel like we do have good strikers but for whatever reason in the league, we havent been putting the ball in the net enough. Is Meite still with us by the way? Saw he was training at Cardiff.
Although the 3 points only took us off the bottom, it makes the table look slightly better, with our games in hand, making it look favourable to rise out of the bottom 4. Our next 5 fixtures will be important:
Hendon away - 21st place
Lowestoft home - 7th
Enfield home - 8th
Leatherhead away - 16th
Canvey home - 23rd.
We should be aiming for at least 3 wins out of those games. We are 2 points behind Hendon having played 5 less games so a win would really do alot for us. Lowestoft and Enfield will both be tough games but at home we always have a chance, especially when Lowestoft have that lengthy journey to us on New Years Day. Leatherhead only 5 points ahead of us having played 4 more, so I expect us to be quite even and then we face Canvey Island who are below us, having played 3 games more. 10 points in those 5 games would really help us climb the table and i'm confident we can do it, if we can start to find the back of the net!!
