First Borough (previously Town) game in over 50 years

I was surprised to see that due to the restructuring of the Non-League football pyramid the Borough were placed in the Southern League Premier South. Since I hadn't been able to see any of their games for over 50 years I couldn't miss the opportunity to see game against Supermarine (whose ground is just down the road from where I now live). I thoroughly enjoyed the game, and was impressed with the pacey and accurate passing of the Borough attack, particularly in the first half where they scored 2 good goals. I can see why they have a good scoring record in this division. As previously mentioned here, the game tailed off in the second half, and Supermarine came more into the game. My thanks to Earlsmead part-timer for his friendly welcome and also the introductions to Peter Rogers, the club photographer and other travelling supporters. I will continue to follow Borough's progress through this website and forum.
