A game definitely of two halves IMO.

Boro were poor 1st half and Walton were the better side we just couldn't get going. Their goal scored after a big mix up in the Harrow defence, a soft goal to give away.

2nd half we were much better and deservedly equalized through James Ewington.
After that both teams had chances but on play Boro shaded it.
Their penalty I couldn't really tell from we were at the far end of the pitch, but some other Boro fans I talked to said it looked harsh. Anyway it's given so what can you do.

One thing the officials can do is check the widths of the goals.

Many a time now on an artificial pitch I've seen the opposition goalkeeper kick the upright posts at the bottom to make the goal width a few inches smaller on his goal, then at half time kick it back wider for our goalie.
Second half again kicked the goalposts made them a few inches smaller at the bottom. You can do this as the goals are on wheels at the back and just place into position at the front.
I tried to tell the linesman, when the ball was out of play so not distracting him but he didn't even acknowledge I was there. Let alone have a look at them. Okay it didn't effect the result but its just plain cheating in my book and I wish the officials would keep an eye on it and stop it.

So unlucky not to get a point today against a solid and well organized team. Play like we did in the second half and I'm sure we can get a result next time out.
