Halifax in the Trophy

It’s a great match for us to host in the Trophy next month. Undoubtedly and rightly so, Halifax will start as favourites but I do think we have a chance because we are at home. Halifax are 10th in the National League and were FA Trophy winners only a few years ago so this might seem a bit silly.
But away from home, Halifax don’t have a great record this season. They have won at Scunthorpe and Solihull, but when travelling further south they haven’t fared so well. They’ve lost at Barnet, Wealdstone, Aldershot, Eastleigh, Ebbsfleet and Yeovil. They have also only drawn at Maidenhead, Maidstone and Bromley.
Perhaps they don’t travel so well which might give us a chance. Perhaps it’s a coincidence. They got Altrincham and Torquay away before they play us so let’s see if the trend continues.
