Replying to the Major's hat's post :
"I read the weekly chairman's newsletter from Chesham United yesterday. One line stood out, when he quoted what a former Chesham chairman had said to him.. 'If you're not going forward, you'll go backwards"
This is clearly untrue - Chesham Utd and Harrow Borough have stood still for years - whilst I can count at least 15 clubs who moved on to win promotion to the Conference South or North in the relatively few years I've watched Chesham and Harrow Borough. Even after they end up in a relegation spot the Borough don't go backwards and when Chesham make the playoffs they don't win through !
