Another season end, another revamp for non league.

Details in article here /www.thenonleaguefootballpaper.com/features/26633/fa-second-phase-non-league-restructuring/

From what I can gather, next season at our level, the bottom 2 from each league will be relegated along with two more 3rd bottom teams who have the worst points per game ratio. That means 10 will be going down.

From step 4, it suggests 2 will be promoted from each division, there are 7, so 14 teams will be coming up to step 3. I presume then that at our step 3 level, we will become a 23 team league.

The super playoffs for step 3 will also be gone as the national league south/north will be turning into 24 team leagues. Therefore the champions and playoff winners of each step 3 league will go up, rather than the playoff winners having to go through the super playoffs.

So basically next season, bottom two will be relegated, 3rd bottom may be relegated on points per game and promotion can be won from coming 1st or winning the playoffs for your own league.

Personally I'd like to see Boro in the Southern League again. I have enjoyed facing some different opponents with the opportunity to visit some new places. The current projection for next season, based on current standings and PPG etc has us remaining and being joined by Hayes and Yeading but with Hendon moving back to the Isthmian. This can all change of course with lots still to play for.
