just got back from the match. read various comments and felt i should share my thoughts for what they are worth. :-)

1. we weren't very good tonight, 2 or 3 players looked like they didnt care. 2 or 3 just were poor.

2. lots of bed wetters on here tonight. we have games in hand on 4 teams below us, and a point or two clear. 6 clear of carshalton

3. only one team below us still to play. therefore all this "our poor form against teams below us" is irrelevant at this stage of season.

4. tough game at weekend but after that we can get points in games v hampton, bognor, lewes and margate.

5. far better position that this time last season.

Concord away - still in hunt for playoffs but lost 3 of last 4. tough game but hopefully we can get something.

Hampton away - their season is over. they wont be relegated and wont get playoffs. Only two wins from last 8, which includes 4 defeats. a good chance for us to pick up points.

Lewes home - only won 2 of their last 12, but undefeated in two. a really good chance for us to pick up a win at home. vital game.

East Thurrock away - Unbeaten in 10, winning 8 of those and well in the chase for playoffs. Before they play us they play wingate, cray and Hampton, 3 games for them to keep up their good form. lets hope they do beat cray and wingate. on current form it will be tough for us to get anything there.

Bognor home - Like Hampton wont be getting playoffs or relegated. Some mixed form but no win in 5 away from home. Good chance for us to pick up another home win.

Margate away - Hit bad patch of form losing to Lewes and Carshalton. Still chasing playoffs. Current form could pick up points against them.

I think we will be alright this season. just.

I agree we still have opportunities to gain a few more points & should be safe. If we had avoided defeat in one the games v Wingate,we would safe now. We have to improve in matches against the teams in the lower part of the league.

never done particularly well against Hastings . However this season we have struggled against lower clubs in the main. Would like to know why the team cannot get points against lower clubs? We now go into the last 6 games biting our nails. Luckily only 2 teams will go down so we might just survive. Bognor is a very important game - this is about the only one where I feel we might get max points. However that means doing the double - not sure we have done that this year against anyone?
