2-2 vs NGU

Very slow start and quite a poor first half although we did come into it a bit as it went on. Harry Walker took their goal very well. Boro could do with a player like him, held the ball up and won nearly every header. Their sending off helped a bit as we pushed forward. Instant equaliser from Akinola and were let off twice, thanks to our goalie once and the bar on another occasion. We did have chances of our own and thought we had nicked it at the end when Murrell-Williamson scored but the team didn't defend well after that. Wingers were still pushing up when we should have been looking to stay solid and compact. Corner came unbelievably from a counter attack. They deserved the draw at least anyway. hopefully we will turn up in the replay.

Thanks for the quick review of the game. That's a pretty poor result. Granted North Greenford are on good form of late but we really should be beating a team from the division below who played almost the whole of the second half with 10 men. At least we get another go. Just having a quick look and have seen that Lowestoft and Bury both lost to teams from the division below so I suppose I should be grateful for the draw!

So many of our players found their level today, which is clearly lower than North Greenford United. Akinola, Peocock & Leech apart . the rest are simply not good enough or not performing . The management team are failing to attract better players or if they are better, our tactics clearly do not work.

Desperately need Jones back ahead of Louth in my opinion. Brandon Horner didn't do too badly at right back but looks more suited to a passing style rather than our style. Think Lucien needs to be played on the right wing, always more effective from there. Seems to be playing left wing as we have no actual left wingers. Think we need a target man too

2nd Round Draw

Winner will be away to either Brentwood Town (Ryman Div 1 North) or Clacton FC (Eastern Counties Premier). These sides drew 3-3 with Clacton grabbing a injury time equaliser just like North Greenford United. This is a good draw considering some of the teams we could have got. Lets hope we perform as a team and get a cup run going.

That's a very kind draw considering the Conference North and South teams are involved just a shame it would involve a trip to Essex. Brentwood are really struggling in the Ryman North and Clacton are two divisions below us. It's a great chance to get to the 3rd qualifying round but there are big doubts as to whether we will be able to beat North Greenford.
