Should surely resign, total failure, Increased budget but not one single player has improved the team this season. Tactics are so basic its a joke. Long ball for Akinola to chase or just boot to the head of the opposing centre back.

he cant really claim the players let him down. They are just not good enough. Anderson has let down Leech, Peacock & Akinola for not signing for not signing a Goalkeeper, full backs ,a midfielder that can pass & a centre forward. Time for change

I have just read Mr Anderson's article in the HO after the initial tie. He talks about the squad as if he inherited it or had to assemble it in haste. When in fact it is totally HIS squad. If, as we are led to believe he is now operating with a budget that encouraged talk of reaching higher levels, Last night's cup exit and the poor start to the season are simply not good enough. From his published comments on the squad and his revolving door policy he is quite clearly a very poor judge of a player. It is early enough to make tough decisions, and not spend the season struggling, and possibly our brilliant New sponsor withdrawing. Enough is enough!! Do the right thing HBFC directors!!!

Personally I wouldn't want the hypocrite that is Mr Howell to be caretaker of the clubhouse let alone the football team. I have always thought the success of the play off season was more down the players than his coaching. That squad of players under achieved in my opinion.

As I'm living abroad and don't see many games I can't really comment on performances. I think we would all agree that the first season under Anderson was a success as he cobbled together a whole new team at short notice and kept us up. Last season however was poor and this season appears to be no better. Since he's been here our team is baisically a step 4 team playing in step 3. If we were in the Southern League Central like North Greenford there is no way we would be near the top. We'd be average at best. I don't have the inside information that some of you have but if our wage budget has been significantly increased then yes, Anderson is failing. I however believe in continuity and would prefer him to sort this mess out and improve the team. The good news is that Cray, Thamesmead and Carshalton appear to be dreadful where as we are just very bad. If we can get the odd win here and there plus get 18 points off the three teams I've just mentioned then we should be able to stay up. I've been making quite a bit of money recently thanks to Cray. I just bet on the team who they are playing to win each week (apart from when they play the other awful teams).

I think he needs 3 more games. A week and a half ago it wasn't all bad following two wins in a row. Things change quickly. We had a tough start and things could have been a lot different had we taken chances. Maidstone away will be tough but the players might react better with the big crowd etc. Then we have two winnable games, at Carshalton and at home to East Thurrock. If a change is needed then make it after those games before we face 'easier' games against Wingate, Hampton, Dulwich again, and Soham in October with Cray, Enfield, Canvey and Thamesmead in November.

Presume we are still operating on a budget lower than what Dave Howell had at his disposal at St Albans?

Having read the DA interview mentioned - I note he states he does not have a leader out on the pitch. Rather strange then that he now wants 3 or 4 players with leadership qualities. A bit worrying that he has been manager all this time with no leader. Certainly very quiet on the pitch we definately could do with one. Have lost count how many captains we have had this season. Not sure we need 3 or 4 leaders though, otherwise there could be arguments amongst the players on the pitch? Difficult to say if DA should be given more time. Would suggest perhaps see who these new players are before deciding on his future. Steve Bateman for me - if we move on.

The key point in all this is we believe he has a larger budget. Can he attract better players. So far, no. Why are we taking a key specialist player like a goalkeeper on loan from a premier league team. Surely it's common sense that the arrangement is going to end in tears and a massive disruption to the back four. Wasnt our manager once a goalkeeper??

he was a keeper.
The goalkeeper situation in the whole time Anderson has been manager is a mess. loans & short term signings. that alone is reason we need a better manager. Its just an idea. but if we signed players that had actually played in the Ryman PremierDivision before. they just might be good enough.

I'm afraid any loan signings at our level equates to a club treading water. I can't remember many if any loan success's
