one win shouldn't result in us asking if we have the makings of a good squad. we have had the makings of a good squad for most of this season. we have way too often missed opportunities in games (so many missed penalties) or lost to teams that we should be beating. When favourites in a match, we often lose. that has to be addressed. Makes todays 3 points very handy. 3 more wins should see us safe. if we can get 2 of them against Cray and East Thurrock, that will help even more!

im not asking just because of the one win i could have asked after the maidstone win, where the performance was good but never heard any praise for the staff or management, but when we get a loss against teams we think we should at least perform against. Consistency is the key. just an observation in some of the games i have seen some promise, for a quick counter attacking game the pitches this time of year are not the greatest as they are heavy and sticky, would like to see what we could be like if the pitches were better, as the pace we do have looks frightening.

At last a win against lower in the league opposition. We probably had our least pacey attack for some while. Simeon out injured and Victor unavailable. For once hardly got caught on the break. Hard fort game by both sides with few chances created. The Thamesmead people are very friendly and the ground very new. Facilities excellent - with a very modern award winning stand. Chips probably best in the league by a country mile. If they get relegated would hope they come straight back up again.
