In a season of new lows - it just got lower than ever (again)

Clueless. 2-0 up at home after 55 minutes - and then conceding 4 goals thanks to defending (if you can call it that) that would be more at home on the local pitches of Harrow tomorrow morning. For good measure we even had yet another farcical substitution. Next up at home Wingate & Finchley. Enough said. Well maybe not - we can probably find a level lower.

Even I have now given up hope with the current management regime. Why is it whenever I'm on Twitter he seems to be more interested in going to AFC Wimbledon events than focussing on keeping us up?

Agree with both posts.
Cappers, next time reply to his tweet & ask him.
I wanted change after the North Greenford & Ware blow outs last season, so to say I have No confidence is a massive understatement

Additionally regarding Gary Meakin, he knows some of the Borough squad already having played with Michael Peacock and John Sonuga, and signed Spencer Bellotti for Northwood from Oxhey Jets in 2012.

Might play a part in the decision.

Gary Meakin would do a good job. Young, was on Borough's radar when Howell left in 2011, and has a track record of doing well wherever he's been.

Kept Hillingdon Borough, Northwood and Wingate & Finchley up during his spells there as manager. Unlucky to see his reign at Burnham come to an end a couple of months back, but as its local its a good shout in my opinion.

Peter Rogers and the board may decide to go in a different direction, but personally I think Meakin would do well for Borough.

Forget Meakin. Just learned he has been reappointed manager of Division One Central strugglers Beaconsfield SYCOB.

Agree Dave is a really decent guy. A real shame he has not had the success he deserves. Likewise wish him all the best for the future - he took over managing the club at a very difficult time and managed to keep us up that season against all odds.

He certainly is still without a job as far as I know. Would be a step to far to reappoint him for some supporters.

YES. I am sure he does.

I don't think he has been involved at a club since they left St Albans

Although Ken doesn't have any managerial expierence himself he does have plenty of experience as an assistant. Plus he obviously has previous links to the club. I also remember during our 'wonder season' there were a few occasions when Dave Howell was absent and Ken was put in charge and we always won. So could be worth a go.

Money?

When Dave Anderson first took over I was chatting to some blokes who seen him manage another club.

They warned me that he'd spend a lot of money but not get the club anyway.

The later has proven true, does anyone know what the financial situation is like now?

Wouldn't like to speculate, but when he was at Northwood, despite having success in his two seasons in the job (finish 6th and 10th and having an FA Trophy run), he did spend a lot of money and the financial situation once it became apparent was said to have contributed to his resignation in 2010.

Im not aware of how much, if any money he spent at Harrow, but Anderson is known for it. While Northwood had a good team during that spell, it only sought to build on the debt the club had from their Southern Premier Division days with all the additional travelling etc.

Anderson, from what I've heard, put in a lot of time at Harrow and its probably just one of those where it didn't work out. Could also explain why the club didn't sack him as it would have cost them money. Good job for all concerned that he realised it was time for a change, and unselfishly walked away for the good of the club.

Last season he had a budget increased by 25% on the previous year. All we got was Leroy Grifiths & Cullum Willock without any improvement on the pitch. Not money well spent.
