Can we make it Baker's Dozen by next weekend. Its been as truly outstanding achievement by Steve Baker & the squad. Not only getting to a position of possible safety but playing some really good football along the way.

A point against Met Police today in a 2-2 draw. Came back from a goal down twice. Conceded due to a lack of concentration from a free kick (nobody picked up the no5) and a counter attack goal. Dug deep to fight back though. Thought Spencer McCall was excellent and the defence played reasonably well again. A point is what I expected to be fair. They won 5-0 on Saturday so a good result and it keeps the unbeaten run going. Unfortunately, only two teams in the bottom half lost; Peacehaven & Telscombe (They are in very poor form and we have now overtaken them) and Leatherhead (13th, safe from relegation, playoffs not possible). This means some teams have closed the gap on us but its still very tight. If we can go to Bury Town (Bottom, relegated) and get 3 points, which should be the aim, I think that will be us safe, especially if results go our way. If we don't get the 3 points, we should be worried. VCD have won 3 in a row since we beat them and we face Kingstonian and Leatherhead, two decent teams. Leatherhead will have nothing to play for on the final day, but Kingstonian may well still be in a shout for the playoffs when they come to Earlsmead. Still a long way to go but a win on Saturday can all but secure us another season in the Ryman Prem!

A good point against one of the best teams we have played this season. The lads hung on and with good organisation got the point they fully deserved. English had to go off at half time and was missed badly. Bury obviously did well Saturday at Leiston and got a couple more points there than we did a few weeks ago. However Leiston played most of the game with only 10 men. Hopefully we can get that all important win this coming Saturday and the manager will have a full squad to choose from.
