So sad to hear that Peter Lavers has passed away. He was such a talented footballer and prolific goal scorer. One of the best I ever had the pleasure of watching for Harrow Town at Earlsmead. Sincere condolences to family and friends.

90 goals in just 2 Seasons. An incredible achievement. Will probably never be matched, so rightly will remain a club legend forever. RIP

Very sad news to hear of his death. Pete Lavers was my first ever footballing hero. Our clubs record goalscorer in goals to games ratio. An amazing forward who was great both in the air and on the floor. He was only around 20 when playing for us and went on to score plenty more goals for other clubs including Leatherhead - where he played alongside Chris Kelly. Oddly we are playing Leatherhead this Saturday and I sincerely hope both clubs get together to arrange a minutes silence before the game. Condolences to his family and friends who will be very proud of his achievements in football.

Town Colours

I agree. What an appropriate tribute that would be for both clubs to honour Peter's memory with a minutes silence before the game. As I said previously, he was the best player I ever saw at the Town and quite rightly will remain a club legend.

Respect to everyone at Leatherhead yesterday. A minutes applause for Peter Lavers was a reply nice touch. Both of his sons & many of his Leatherhead team mates were at the game too

Was a great idea to have the minutes applause. Much better than a minutes silence. In the Leatherhead clubhouse there were many pictures of the great man. He looked quite different hair style wise to when he played for us all those years ago. In view of his prolific goalscoring it would be more than appropriate to have a picture of him proudly displayed in our own clubhouse. As previously mentioned he is the clubs greatest goalscorer ever on a goals to games ratio. Hopefully a picture of him will be found dare I say it wearing Town Colours. One Peter Lavers there is only one Peter Lavers!!!!

How gratifying to hear that a tribute to Peter Lavers was recognised by both clubs before yesterday's match at Leatherhead, showing what a popular player he was wherever he played.
