Phew that was close. Boro edged this fa cup tie by the skin of their teeth IMO as they put in another inconsistent performance at Earlsmead.
But I'm not complaining a late goals from Preddie and an injury time winner from Meite see us in for the draw for the 4QR.
The first half we just couldn't get going and City went ahead from the penalty spot . 1-0 at HT to Winchester and I think they deserved to be in front .
As the second half went on I did feel we played better but it doesn't mean u necessarily score. But up pops Shaun and it's 1-1, then give Ibrahim just a sniff on goal and he rarely misses.
No doubt it , if I was a City fan I would be gutted.
That's my quick take on it .
What did others think ?

Yep, can't disagree. The main thing in the fa cup is the results. The cash the club will get is vital. I'm glad we got through but unless we can improve to be more consistent, I think we'll struggle in the 4QR. Hopefully we can get another good draw but chances aren't likely as there are a number of good teams left and the national league prem teams joining in. However let's enjoy the run. 1st round proper would be fantastic!!!

Was following the game on Twitter and it made my day when I heard that we won it right at the death. It was never going to be easy against Winchester. They had won their last four games including thrashing Truro 4-0, plus winning their last two games in the league and a 6-0 win in the Hampshire cup. It's always difficult playing against form teams even if they are a level below. There are still a number of teams in it from lower divisions. Beaconsfield SYCOB would be my dream draw. Failing that, I'd like Taunton, North Leigh or the winners of Egham v Faversham. Hendon or Wealdstone would be pretty tasty too!

A really spirited last half hour. I think we were a bit off the pace for periods earlier in the match. We worked hard & used the whole pitch to stretch Winchester. Two well taken goals. Credit to Winchester, they performed well & probably deserved a replay.
Ibraham Meite has scored in every round so far, let's hope he scores in the 4th qualifying round too.
