Home v Grays Ath
Views: 939
After a disappointing January, we have improved so much this month. Three wins & very narrow defeats against Billericay & Bognor. We now have the opportunity to push up the league as we play our backlog of fixtures. Grays have improved in recent weeks too, the 5-2 win at the ground a couple of weeks go flattered us somewhat. Dispite a few injuries we are looking very solid, we have a very settled & decent squad.
let's make sure the same kind of support that we had last Saturday continues right to the end of the season.

We need to make sure we beat bottom of the table Grays on Saturday to make up in advance for our defeat to Wingate & Finchley a few days later. We might as well not even bother turning up for that one!

It wasn't very good today as Boro put in a poor performance against Grays at Earlsmead this afternoon.
First half I thought Harrow were slightly just the better teambut lazy defending let Grays get ahead, but we did pull one back from the penalty spot (Cumberbatch) HT 1-1. Although I don't know how Grays number 6 stayed on the pitch after upending Babalola earlier on, a terrible tackle, ref didn't even book him. Unfortunately that set the tone for some appalling refereeing from the officials for both sides.
Harrow second half, put in awful performance, a mistake again defensively for the second goal and an even worse mistake for the third and there was no way back and Grays deserved their win.
Going to see us midweek against Wingate and Finchley, must do better or we will get nothing from that game.

Yeah, very disappointing performance on Saturday. Midfielder Webb was missed. At half time i thought the game was still there for the winning but we didn't show up at all in the second half. Credit to Grays as they deserved their win and didn't look like a bottom placed team.
Their number six was lucky to still be on the pitch after his two late challenges ( only one of them was carded by ref ).
But to be honest our second half performance didn't make me think we could have beaten their ten men anyway.
Onwards to Tuesday now and hopefully we will raise our game like we usually do against higher placed teams.
Come on you reds.
