Boro 2 Havant & Waterlooville 1

For the first hour of this game is was almost continues defending , but defend we did. Somehow keeping the score to only 0-1. Then for the final half hour the tide completely turned & Boro swept forward attacking down both flanks. Mark Charles Smith crossed for Super Lewis Driver to stab home at the near post. Then late on Harry Newman scored from exactly the same position.
Havant will probably feel hard done by to go home with nothing, they were winning & in control , but why do teams when only 1-0 up early in the 2nd half waste time. One throw in by their number 3 must have taken nearly 2 minutes from when the ball went out untill we restarted. The away bench thought it great amusement that the crowd were getting angry. Needless to say at the final whistle the amusement was returned with interest.

Brilliant result. Well done to all, players management and fans, fantastic. What an unpredictable season (results wise) this is turning out to be. Big game now on saturday against Sudbury must show the same attitude and concentration we did last night , no falling back into old habits.

I was very impressed with the Boro attitude on Tuesday. It would have been easy for the lads heads to drop when H&W took the lead but they hung in there. While it is only 1-0 you always have a chance. For all their dominance though i didn't think H&W were that impressive. They had pace up front which they took advantage of with long balls. Not a lot of imagination and they went to ground very easy at the slightest challenge.
Take nothing away from Boro though, all the lads put in a shift and got the result they deserved.
