The Real Boro v Farnboro

So the start of a month in which we are due to play seven league fixtures. A return of 12 points will probably keep us in play off contention.
Farnborough have our ex striker Marc Charles Smith and an apparently currently out of favour Kurtis Cumberbatch in their ranks.
They are very inconsistent, they have beaten high flying Weymouth but were beaten 6-0 by Poole. Recently they had. 6-2 win at Beaconsfield.
I think if we start a bit brighter than we did against Swindon & Basingstoke a home win should be attainable

Yep, some very tough games in those 7 ( actually even the "easy" games aren't easy!) I wonder which sort of Farnborough team we'll see on Saturday?
Hopefully from our point of view the one that's out of sorts.

Don't be misled - the 6-2 win at Beaconsfield was against a non-specialist goalkeeper following injury to the usual 'keeper early in the game. They lost 0-1 at home to Chesham, of all clubs !

Well how good was that.

Totally dominated the first half , but only scored once.
Half time talk was could this be Basingstoke in reverse,

No it wasn't. Totally dominated the 2nd half too.
I thought Mitchel Gough was outstanding in a performance when every player was 8/10+

That was very good !
Fantastic performance. In truth it should have been more than 5 goals.
Quick movement, passing everyone working hard, great team ethic.
Farnborough not at the races.
Brilliant.

Excellent result! It's not often a team is able to dominate a match from start to finish and completely destroy a team so well done to Steve, his management team and all the players.

We are now the highest scorers in the league in terms of goals scored per game average.

One of the best performances I've seen for a long time by Harrow, on my occasional visits.
It was a pity only 170 were there to see it. Bring a friend next time !

It is even more encouraging if, like me, you thought Farnborough weren't a poor side. There was actually applause from the crowd for some of their passing moves & shots - so full marks also to Hafed in the Harrow goal for keeping a clean sheet with a couple of exceptional saves.

Reaching the playoffs is a realistic target now for Borough.

Hopefully we can push on and agree play offs a realistic target. Good all round performance yesterday and was good to see Kurtis and MCS back on our turf. Both served the club well. As i said a good all round performance yesterday . Personally thought Michael Bryan stood out particularly. Held the ball well and got in some great crosses on the day. Seem to have a good balanced squad now which helps so much when there are a few players out injured. That is 3 league wins on the bounce which must boost the confidence . December is not usually a good month for us points wise so lets see how we progress. A great start!!!!

Another great win for the Borough. I see that Simon Grigor says in his report that it was their best performance of the season. Hope this will stand us in good stead for the tough games that are coming up that have been mentioned recently on this form. I also hope that Borough fans do not suffer from vertigo with us reaching the dizzy heights of 6th position in the league!!!
