HBFC 3 Merthyr 0

Good solid win here in very difficult "monsoon" like conditions. Both teams missing key players but Harrow well on top thought out the game IMO. Goals by Ismajli Kearney and Keita . Mind you I only saw Dylan's goal missed the others because you had to keep an eye on some "unsavoury stuff" going on the terraces.
There's no place for that sort of nonsense at our club, and I hope I never see that at Earlsmead ever again.

Im not surprised to hear about this trouble yesterday.l attended the Farnborough game and a section of about 20 people came out with a stream of foul mouth singing and a drum being banged for virtually the whole 90 mins.l would urge the club to put a ban on such instruments that can ruin other fans enjoyment of the game.Urgent action is needed.

Agree a terrific performance on the pitch, some outstanding individual performances.
If any Merthyr supporters are on here?, as a Boro supporter of over 40 years, can i sincerely apologise to our visitors for tbe behaviour of a few complete knobs who embarrassed our club this afternoon.
I will look forward to our visit to South Wales in March & hope all future games do not have a a similar issue

Just to follow what l posted earlier l think a very good idea would be to have the ground regulations near the turnstile and in the programme.l hope they would all musical instruments Likes drums being banned and people doing offensive could be ejected from the ground.

Not sure there are many reasons to ban musical instruments particularly. But offensive language is different matter, it needs to be stamped out. The issue is how do you do it. As we saw yesterday , it's a real handful for a couple of volunteer stewards to deal with when issues arise.

I have every respect for your view Middlesex Wanderer but surely a drum being banged for virtually the whole 90mins is just being used upset people and lm with you about the abuse chanting they should be warned and if need be they should be ejected from the ground and banned from coming again. If they refuse to Leave then the cops to sort it.Thats my view.

I have just read Simon Grigors excellent report on the website for the match with Merthyr. He states the same people who were doing a tirade of foul mouth singinig and non stop playing of a drum for the match against Farnborough were responsible for the trouble against Merthyr. As they clearly disregarded what stewards asked as stated in Simons report l would urge the club to do the following as l understand the club have the right to refuse entry to any fan if they wish so on Tuesday night against Beaconsfield they should enforce this.If they get in the ground by other means the Police should be called to evict them. These morons have no right to spoil other peoples enjoyment of the game.

Just to follow up what l posted earlier if the club fail to address this urgent matter of these so called fans who caused the trouble against Merthyr and behaved in a apalling manner against Farnborough then l for one and l wouldnt be surprised if a number of other fans may decide to stop going to the matches.

I think if you are at The game on Tuesday you will NOT see any of those responsible in the ground

Well I won't discuss the finer details on an open forum but it "kicked off" a bit between some fans. I don't know what the cause was or who was ultimately to blame but you certainly don't want to see that at a football match. It left a bit of a sour taste as it was an excellent display from Boro and 98% of both sets of fans got on really well.

That's not the sort of thing you expect to happen at a Harrow Borough match. Disappointing to hear. As for the match itself, great result and great response after last week. We could be genuine play-off contenders.

Great to see that Borough managed to keep a clean sheet yesterday with the win over Merthyr Town and moving up to 6th place in the league as a result. I wonder when we were last in such a dizzy position at this stage of the season!!! It would be interesting to know whereabouts we'd be in a table of playing budgets in this league. Are we punching above our weight at the moment?

Tony
