First of all many thanks to Alan for organizing the fans trip today over Land and sea a thoroughly enjoyable day going with fellow fans.As for the game that was more Like it you can call it controlled aggresion but we got in their faces.Mark Bitmead pushing one of their guys over dont worry about the booking that showed our intent.Mark Mcleod as always getting stuck in and again dont worry about a booking he got that was what was required today.I saw him shaking his fist at the guys demanding more excellent Mark. The first half was fairly even though they did have some chances and we were a bit open at down a flank but that was put a right at half time and we were a Lot more solid 2nd half which most of we bossed. When Anthony O'Connor came on we seemed to find a yard and balls being played into good areas and that of course Led to the goal.Steve Bakers substitution proved inspired Frank Keita got in centre of box and finished cooly from 8yrds.I shall happily eat some humble pie as l said that this match wouldnt play to Franks strengths but he shut me up lm a delighted he did.Real positives to take our commited win at all cost attitude and not giving up till the final whistle. The standard of crossing half much improved but still not perfect thats good to see.Just of couple issues of concern Micheal Bryan trying a fancy flick and Losing a ball in a bad area nearly cost us a goal and we had a free kick first just in our half all that needs to happen hit the channel or hit the box dont just play it 5yds Like we did Lose the ball in a bad place and we were very Lucky they didnt score a goal. l will say this again work in training on Set pieces they are vital in the modern game bin all short free kicks and fancy flicks But thats just a few minor things overall l would give the guys 9/10 for that performance and lm giving my man of the match to Nathenial Oseni who was commanding he always seemed to be in the right Posistion wise today.Well done Nat.That was a great win today and made the journey of Land and Sea worthwhile

Yep it was a good result, I thought all the lads put in a really good shift. A difficult game and I'm surprised Gosport are in trouble, they looked a useful side and their defence looked pretty good to me. Their goalie made some outstanding saves from a couple of George Moore thunderbolts.
Great day out, fine performance and good support. Capped off with a killer late goal. Well done HBFC.

Absolutely Earlsmead Part timer you summoned that up very well. What we must do now is repeat yesterdays performance in the remaining 5 games as we got in their faces and made it a battle in midfield. l was told by a Gosport fan not to swear at the ref even though when Gosport were denied a penalty in the second half their fans clearly could be heard calling the ref how can l say it the word that rhymes with A "Banker". The bottom Line was more balls went into the box and that Lead to Franks chance which he took so well.5 Cup Finals to go and we need all 5 to be wins which we are going to get. That village near Watford Kings Langley have got all the pressure on their shoulders now Poole are out of it we are the only challengers. They are "expected" to get 5th and if they fail they will be Labelled as bottlers. They have got some tough games to come especially Taunton away and l know this we win all 5 of our games which shall finish 5th! Come On You Reds!

If Poole are out of it, then so are Harrow given that Poole have one more point than Harrow! Crazy comment to say that Harrow are still in the race and Poole aren't, however badly Poole may have played on Saturday. We all know that strange things happen at this level of football and pretty much anything is possible.

Good Morning Whispering Minotaur thank you for giving a reply.Poole maybe a point in front of us but as we saw Saturday yet again when they are under pressure having to chase Kings Langley now they completely folded and in modern speaking bottled it.When it comes to pressure games they havent got it.For example they were 3-1 up against us at home and Lose 2 injury time goals for a 3-3.Lose 4-0 to us at Earlsmead and you can visibly see after we go 2up they throw in the towel.Lose 5-1 away to the might of Chesham and of course Saturdays Loss 2-0 to Hendon.Of course this all could be a coincidence but l think not.Promotion is not just about football ability if it was yes l concede they are probably the best 5th best team in the League but you have to have character and bottle in the pressure situations and in my view thats why lm saying Poole are out of the promotion picture. The reason we are still in the race for 5th we all saw Saturday we dug in showed character and got that vital Late winner thats what teams to do when they win promotion!
