Hello Ash Boro home and away.
Your a truly dedicated fan to go to Salisbury on Saturday when we are just playing for pride.
If we had more Leaders demanding more on the pitch theres no doubt in my mind we would have been 5th at the moment a point clear of Poole and everything would have been on this.
One big Lesson to Learn
When you sign a player the big thing is this.
Is he strong on the ball can he keep possession.
All the fancy flicks and fancy dan square balls we see from certain players wont get you through the pressure games when the opponents want to mix it.
Thats the Lesson to Learn from this season Ash.
Hope you have an enjoyable day!

Terry - how have you coped being a Harrow fan for all these years when in most seasons it has been a battle against relegation? All those players who haven't shown effort or bottle over the years.

The thing is they did.Wayne Walters and Danny Leach would and did go through the pain barrier for us with vital headed goals or clearences.Harry Manoe or John Hurlock would never shirk a tackle.George Lidster would give a kick to someone if they went past him.
Those players had the bottle and character and would no way have accepted recent so called efforts.

You mention four great players from our past (John Hurlock would not have got near a good Boro team). out of hundreds . Manoe & Lidster would be very different players in the modern game, or Red Carded every other week. Walters & Leach are better examples
(& are our two most ever Red Carded players!) but they played for more than 10 years & only finished in the top half twice. McLeod & Preddie are probably on par with Walters & Leach, but it takes a balance of players & this squad has that.
We have lost by more than 2 goals on only 3 occasions this season. One was at Taunton, so no lack of fight there. so we have been competitive for the full 90 minutes in 39 out of the 41 games played. That in itself is decent, as is 60+ points.
A good season by a good squad of players.
by the way, don't get me started on the managerial (lack of) qualities of Ed Stein.

Yes thats very fair comment about the modern game of course but the big issue cant be ducked the 4 pressure games where we Lacked fight.
Alan Honestly would Either Wayne Walters or Harry Manoe being on the pitch just Accepted what we saw against Hartley Whitney away Frome Chesham and Wimbourne at Home.
I Think Not!
We can use figures thats fine no problem.
When the going got tough we didnt get going that cant be ducked.
I think Steve Baker must address this when players are signed how tough mentally are they.
Have they got the Bottle for the vital games if not dont sign them.
