League companions next season

By harrowred (RedHarrow)14/5/2019 11:44Tue May 14 11:44:35 2019

So we have definitely lost;

Staines
Basingstoke
Frome
Weymouth.

According to early projections online we are also likely to lose Hendon to the Isthmian and gain;

Hayes & Yeading
Blackfield & Langley
Yate Town
Weston Super Mare
Truro.

In terms of travel, hayes replace Staines and yate replace from whilst blackfield and langley replace weymouth keeping it quite similar. However as we also lose Basingstoke and Hendon and gain trips to Truro and Weston it'll be a bit longer in terms of mileage this season.

Let's hope we get two home draws in the fa cup/trophy to start with.

Anybody heard any different with regards to who will be in our league next season?

The National League have relegated Gateshead for breaking financial rules. Aldershot have been given a reprieve, but their place in the National South has been taken by Oxford City, so no reprieve for for Truro.

Start making your plans for a short break in Cornwall some time soon!

Good News about Gateshead then if they arent prepared to play by the rules financially they deserve a relegation.
As for Aldershot potentially a League Club with a big fan base someone needs to get their act together there.
Truro another club who spent beyond their means in the past to try to buy success.
As fellow Celts the Cornish l dont want get stuck into them too much but this whole issue League boundaries etc is just a joke.
I can remember in the old days there used to be a Western League with the Likes of Thatcham Town etc.
Im personally missing the Isthmian League if lm honest.
Last season was an adventure going to exotic places Like Hartley Whitney Gosport and Dorchester but l wonder what sort of effect all these trips have an effect on Boros finances.

There were some rumours about Gateshead dropping down the pyramid because of financial problems. That would mean Truro stay in National South and Basingstoke stay in our division.

There are rumours that Ebbsfleet may be seeking demotion - and, with any luck, Truro will somehow stay in the National Lge, sparing clubs like Chesham & Harrow expensive long trips.

It'll be a pity if we lose Hendon back to the Isthmian.

In my opinion, last season (18/19) the Southern Lge was very weak, partly through the creation of the Southern Premier Central division, having previously lost Hereford, Slough, Kings Lynn & Kettering but will be even weaker next season with Weymouth winning promotion.

It looks as though there will be no 'big' clubs coming down for next season so that could be the best opportunity in years to reach the National South. I expect Salisbury will start as favourites but don't be surprised if Chesham and Harrow Borough are challenging for the playoffs, along with Hayes & Yeading perhaps.

Well Western Super Mare is a great town which l visited once and friendly people down there in Somerset.
We will have a good chance again to but lm hoping Steve Baker can address some issues to make that happen.
A proven Leader to be vocal and demand more in the games that matter.
Someone who can throw the ball Long and vitally some tougher players in midfield who can mix it when the chips are down.
Its Looks wide open and l would think we would be something Like 10/1 in the betting.

Looks like we won't have to wait for very long. The non league paper will be publishing the leagues on Sunday in their paper.

Hendon survive with Kings Langley instead moving to the Southern Premier Central.

Disappointing to lose Kings Langley as it's only up the road but at least we keep Hendon.

As I understand, if a team folds like last season. I'm doing this from memory. Was it a team called Aqauforce Shaw Lane or something silly like that then this season that league would run one team short rather than reorganising the whole pyramid.

So the playoffs go back to normal this season and only one team gets relegated. Can someone confirm that's the case?
