Hello all, hope everyone had a good bank holiday. After speaking to one of the players during the game against walton casuals who informed me that he believes a drum would improve atmosphere im thinking about getting one to bring to games, what is everyones opinion of this? thanks in advance

I’m not a huge fan of the instruments at football BUT I could accept a drum at Boro IF only used when the teams come out and when a goal is scored, to start a ‘The Boro’ chant.
Please not a constant banging.

Just one other take on Red Harrows Post if as he stated a Drum could be used as the teams come out then our Londons Calling theme by The Clash would be drowned out.
I hope this subject now closed and No Drums appear Saturday or any other game at Earlsmead.
Looking Forward to Saturday!
Come on You Reds!

But to me its fake trying to create a chant the fans do that anyway.
To me the club should bring in emergency ground regulation to ban Drums and all Musical instruments in my view Red Harrow.

I am not aware of any musical instruments being played during 2019, so certainly not any emergency!
Are you expecting the Taunton Carnival Marching Band to rock up on Saturday , if they do (they are welcome) or just a pissed bloke playing a harmonica why would we ban them or try to in some way confiscate their belongings.
This is probably the most pointless thread(s) in the history of this forum.
move on ..... ignoring drums, Northwood FC, that lot from Ruislip & suggesting we under performed last season (it was one of our best & no reason this season will not be similar)

Your entitled your view Middlesex Wanderer.
I dont agree with you on this one.
Weve moved on from Last season weve got more resilance now so we are moving forward.
People go to non league to get away from the fakery of the proffesional game.
I thought going to a non league game was about 22blokes playing a good honest game with the best team winning not about fans with so called musical instruments and Drums ruining the enjoyment of the game for others aka Farnborough Nov 2018.
Maybe lm old fashioned but thats my view!
Not to mention the Local residents may have a view too!

To be honest l wouldnt be in favour.
But this is only my personal view.
The great thing about going to Non League football is it isnt Fake Like the Professional Game where they Blare out some Tuneless song when the Home team score to create "Atmosphere"something they copied from America everytime a so called Touchdown gets scored.
From the experience of the Farnborough game Last year when so called fans who were Later banned banged a drum non stop for 90mins it was a horrendous experience you couldnt concentrate on the game and l know a Lot of fans were very unhappy and told me they were thinking of staying away because of it.
I wanted to get a ban of all musical instruments brought into the ground through the ground regulations.
So lts a bad idea it may upset a Lot of the fans and Local residents who may make a complaint to the club the Noise.
What we want is a good 90mins football hard fought and well played and not gimmicks from the so called " Proffesional game" Thats my opinion Ash ok.

I think vuvuzelas should be banned as they do nothing to enhance the atmosphere and are just annoying. Not fussed about drums. I'd like to see more fans bring guitars as that would be unique. You could have a half time sing along.
