Harrow Borough v Blackfield and Langley Match Preview

We pray the rain relents and we see good game this evening.
A good test for our players having Lost 4 on the spin and some unfavourable conditions with the wind and a bit of rain the kind of game you need to dig a result from.
First question is how are we going to approach this.
Will it be our "Great Football" endless short passes with no end product or as we saw Last 30mins Sat ball down channels and bombard the box with crosses.
Thats the way l would go but theres a proviso if the midfield arent strong to win and keep the ball then you cant dictate the game.
I would start with team that ended the game Saturday with one change Fenton for Ireland at Centre Back and Jordan being in his normal role in midfield with Cole dropping to the bench.
Blackfield and Langley are some village near Southampton surely if our players and Management can show some Confidence and Belief go 4-4-2 take the game to them we have enough quality players to win this.
Im sticking to my favourite scoreline 3-1 Boro!
Come On You Reds!!!!!!

So are you saying that you should win this because Blackfield & Langley is "some village" near Southampton? Perhaps they think they should win because Harrow Borough is "some village" near Wealdstone!

I do enjoy reading your previews, never fail to make me laugh. Please keep up the good work but it may just pay to give your opponents a bit more respect than you generally do.

My prediction: Harrow Borough 2-2 Blackfield & Langley

Hello Whispering you never tip a Boro win!
I do agree we will see goals.
But we are Harrow Borough not some Village from near Southampton.Lets start the game strong a few robust tackles Lets see if they fancy the contest.Take the game to them.
If we cant find a way of winning a game Like this we are in trouble.

Terry, please explain something to me.

Why does the fact that Blackfield & Langley is a lovely village near Southampton mean that you should win? Surely you should have learnt last season that's not the case with Hartley Wintney when you were belittling them for just being a village in Hampshire, or was it Kings Langley being a small place near Watford - it was one of the two.

Whispering just a short history Lesson
Harrow Borough
Isthmian League Winners
Fa Trophy Semi Finalists
Middlesex Senior Cup Winners
London Senior Cup finalists
Over 35. Years straight in the Isthmian Premier.
But more important being part of Nw London the vast amount of talented players in our Capital to choose from well Like l said if we cant beat a team from near Southampton who havent got our pedigree then we are in trouble!

Blackfield & L. have won 12 points from just 6 games , so we are against the equal best team in the league. (Chesham have 16 from 8 games), so make no mistake we have a Tough game tonight.

Moore was unable to start on Saturday due to inury & was limping after. So I cannot see him starting.
I cant imagine we are playing 3 up front , so either Moss or Muhemba & I would expect Moss. I agree Fenton should return & Ireland play the holding role in front of them.
My guess is Otudeko & Maloney will be on the bench to make way for Fenton & Moss.

Thanks for that insight Alan.
Surely time to drop Lewis Cole to the bench who apart from one excellent pass Saturday was out muscled far too easily on Saturday and give Muhemba a go someone whos tough to knock off the ball and has a physical prescence something we desperately need in midfield where we are far too weak.

Why do you think Steve Baker leaves Muhemba on the bench so much and seems reluctant to start him?

In the words of The Beach Boys Whispering " God Only Knows"
I would start Excellence every game in a Dog of War role.
To be a ball winner in midfield someone we badly need.

I have copied my post from lat week

I am really confused why you have mentioned a number of times that Excellence should be playing in midfield, He is a lad that is improving & a valued member of the squad but is a forward..

Hang on are we saying players cant be coached to play other positions really.
Roy Keane could do Centre Back or Midfield
I thought players were multi dimensional these days.
I bet if Excellence was asked to play a ball winning role tonight he wouldnt turn the chance down would he!
Ask the question if you were the opposition who would you fear going in for the ball against Cole or Muhemba
Answers on a postcard or this forum!!!!
