Everyone Savour That Scoreline!!!
Just an Excellent Performance.
Getting stuck in yes in their faces and in the end we wanted it more than Hendon and deserved that vital win.
Just Looking at the Guys warm up there seemed more Intensity.More Determination.
The First half was great for Ducks!
None Stop Rain and my Match Programme ruined!
The System Looked Fairly Fluid and we where getting More Players in the Box than During Recent Games.
The Conditions were really tough and it was a fairly even half Both Keepers being tested mostly from Long range and some good saves made from both to be fair.
The 2nd Half Thank God the Weather Cleared and we started to get on top and a fine free kick from George and MCS cooly finished and its 1-0.
Always Vital to get in front in a 6pointer Like this.
I was so impressed with Players putting themselves on the Line with great Blocks and Tackles and Some Handbags with the Hendon Players Great Stuff.
One thing l dont want to see on this forum is Hendon fans saying it was too aggressive and bad for football.
A wins a win and nothing else matters!
Losing George to a harsh sending off meant the Last 5 was a bit Hare Em Scare em but we held on!
Mom A toughie l think Ben Tricker was Outstanding.
So Well Done Ben!
So a Great Win!
Come On You Reds!!!!

Can't complain from a Hendon point of view. We were rank yesterday. Aside from the fella we had playing on the right, who looked dangerous when cutting in off the flank onto his left foot, we created absolutely nothing. That was the worst we've played under our new manager by some distance.
I thought you wanted it more than we did, stopped us playing and that's what ultimately won you the points. Please leave MCS out next time you play us, I can't remember the last time he played against us and didn't score.
Well done, and good luck between now and Easter Monday when, hopefully, we'll both be clear of danger.

Thanks John for your kind wishes and same with Hendon we both get up that table.
Apart from the rain first half always a pleasure visiting your ground with friendly staff and fans.
I thought it was a good competitive Local Derby.
A few Handbags between the players and l think we just edged it.MCS a Star!!!
Im waiting with interest if the other Hendon fan we have on the forum Whispering Minotuar can give his considered thoughts on the match!

I would be interested to know what Hendon fans think of that pitch.
I personally am glad I only have to watch one or two games a season there.
I am surprised players want to play on it The bounce is really inonsistent, it's the only artificial pitch I know that has a slope & looks awful.

It's a bit of a double-edged sword to be honest.
I think most of us are used to watching games on it now. The amount of rubber crumb visible surface doesn't look great aesthetically but I do generally think it rewards sides that try and get the ball down. Good sides still look good on it, bad sides still look bad on it, just like on real grass.
In terms of the bounce, it can be a little awkward at times, particularly if the ball is spinning, but then if we'd played on grass yesterday then there's a chance that the wet conditions would have meant the ball 'plugging' as it bounced on the sodden surface. Equally, when you play games during spring time when the weather improves on hard bobbly pitches where the bounce is equally unpredictable. As I say, I think you get used to watching games on it though, so can fully accept it looking a bit odd to those that don't so often.
As you'll probably remember, the Kingsbury slope is a relic of the original ground. Levelling the pitch off was investigated when the carpet was laid back in 2015, however the costs involved were prohibitive. I think that's here to stay.
The surface due for renewal in 2-3 years, I think, and the guys behind the scenes are doing a lot of research into improving it then.
There are benefits involved to having the artificial surface, the pitch is in constant use during the week which is crucial when it comes to financing itself and re-laying, and on days like yesterday when the weather is inclement, you arrive at the game knowing in full confidence that the game will go ahead.
It's not as good as some around - Sutton, Dorchester, Carshalton, for example - but I don't mind it. It's played a huge part in keeping Hendon Football Club alive, and our record definitely puts paid to any theory that we gain an advantage playing on it, so I'll take it for now :)

Yes John the very big advantage was that we all knew the match was on yesterday whatever the weather so that the biggest advantage for an artificial pitch.
I remember last Feb l think you played Salisbury when we had snow and it was a godsend a match to go to.
The pitch did cut up a bit after the first half rain and the bounce was a bit high!
But as lm an advocate of the Long Ball game it wouldnt need the ball to stay on the deck much!!!
Thanks for Contributing John but lm still waiting for Whispering to have his say about Boros great win yesterday!

All I have to say is congratulations on the win.
At the current time I have more important things to worry about than football. I'm currently out of the country on family business.
Ultimately football is just a game that people take far too seriously, even in the lower levels of the game, and quite frankly I've had enough of it.
