Merthyr v Harrow Borough Match Preview.
In the words of Madness "Its One Step Beyond"This trip to Wales for me but l know a number of our fans are going so wishing everyone safe there and safe back.
Im enjoying the delights of Northwood v Tooting.
But of course my thoughts are with Borough.
Playing on Merthyrs 4G pitch should hold no fears and just carry on doing the basics of the Last 2 matches well.
I would Like Steve Baker to issue an order No More Short Corners get the ball in the mixer straight away.
Marc Charles Smith back on Pens.
Really just take the game to Merthyr who are Nothing Special and get those 3points!
Please any Forum members at the game please give your views this evening. The score well.
2-1 To Boro!!!
Come On You Reds!!!!!

A difficult game to call IMO.
Martyrs obviously with the home advantage have got to be favourites so it won't be easy for Boro.
But I'm hoping after our recent good run we can come away with a point.

Hmmm a point we would have taken, until we were 2-0 up with 11 mins to go. Disappointed when seeing that but a point is a point and it keeps our little unbeaten run up. 7 points from those 3 games is a good start to the year!

Yes Overall thats a point gained a Long Journey and 4G pitch yes a bit disappointing to have done the hard yards getting a 2-0 lead but we Lost 2 goals in 2mins.
Maybe from Kick off of first goal theu got hit diagional ball as close to their corner flag as poss.
Box em in yes give a free kick away the dark arts if you like just stop any momentum building.
But as you say Red Harrow 7 points out of 9 over festive season.
A great effort!

Hey, we're still unbeaten in 2020 !
A strange league this, you can easily go on a good run as have a string of equally dreadful results. There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to it sometimes.
I see Hendon pulled of a cracking result today .

A very good performance & well earned point.
Ben Tricker was excellent, could have scored from a powerful shot that was blocked in front of the goal early in the 2nd half, as well as 2 quality goals.
Not sure who was injured & unable to carry on , (as it seems to be a team order to down injured when your about to be substituted these days), but 3 subs , in particular taking Chinu Cole off cost us the win, as they were all over us down that side for the last 15 minutes & had chances to get a winner.

SB has come out on twitter and taken blame for the substitution costing us. Apparently to protect Chin Cole from injury as he has done in the two previous games also. Says it worked in those games but just didn’t today.
Who went to left wing back out of interest today? Vs Hendon is was Haugh and vs Walton it was Scott. Both players suited for that role. I presume Lewis Cole would have gone there today?

Lewis Cole went to left back. As you say in the previous 2 games we had a natural left back to take over.
I also agree with other supporters that we managed it very poorly. As Cole came off in a double sub at the same time as MCS ( a few minutes after O'Connor had gone off) , why not 2 separate substitutions to help slow the game down. We also had used all 3 subs with 15 mins to play with could have been costly.

Yes good point there Alan Middlesex Wanderer obviously l wasnt there but game management and nous you need when 2 up with 10 to go.
Waste time with subs.
Do some niggly fouls anything that slows up or breaks up the game.
Hit long balls deep oppositions half etc.
Still a good point nevertheless!
