Definitely a game of two halves today .
Harrow absolutely awful for the first 30-35mins .
Gosport should have been 3-0 nil up and would have been if not for some excellent goalkeeping from Purdue.
Harrow could string a pass together and hardly got out of our own half.
In fact I'm pretty sure our first shot in the game was Ant''s goal , which he took superbly.
Presume Steve gave the boys a rocket at HT because we played much better (why weren't we doing that first half! )
Passing and movement much better with plenty of chances , but to be fair Gosport and chances as well.
And after what I can only call some "eccentric" refereeing from the ref and blatant time wasting from Gosport (particularly from their keeper) Harrow finally got their reward , a definite penalty. At least the ref got that decision right .
2-2 was a throughly deserved point but still a mystery to me why we started so poorly, as a better team would have put the game out of reach long before we made out comeback.

But very good to come back from behind twice and earn a point. Some winnable games ahead

Yep agreed Harrowred, we showed excellent sprit and never gave up.
Just hope we can carry a bit of that momentum through to the Beaconsfield game.
And no sluggish starts please lads!

Best league performance of the season if you remove the first half hour where we didn't compete and as was mentioned in an earlier post - could easily have been 3 down.
Leaving their 6ft 7 centre half unmarked at corners probably wasn't the best idea. Definitely rode our luck early on.
Last half hour Boro dominated for the first time this season.
Referee was shocking. There was a 5 minute spell in the 2nd half where he was so bad he moved from crap ref to crooked ref!
Still need to add a couple of attacking options to the squad but progress is being made.
Close to 500 in attendance with a large amount seeming to prefer queuing for the bar and not watching the game at all?
Loudest PA system at any ground? I believe there were people in Portsmouth dancing to the eclectic mix of 80s pop, 90s rave and Wedding slow dances that were blasted out at 350 decibels 🎵

My eardrums have barely recovered, I wouldn't fancy living in the houses behind the main stand!
A good day out though, you can't beat an injury time equaliser, especially as their keeper had spent the majority of the second half time wasting.
I did mean to check whether the referee and their keeper had the same surname, they seemed to enjoy a special relationship.
At least he made the right decision by awarding the penalty though.

Frst half hour was poor. But the remaining hour was a really good performance.
O'Connor & Ferdinand as a front two was good to watch and i am sure will get better too.
After switching to 4-4-2 in the second half Michael Bryan had a terrific second half, on another day his crosses would have created a goal.
The referee totally lost the plot midway through the 2nd half. When the goal keeper completely flattened Ant O'Connor, not giving a penalty was a really poor decision, but awarding a free kick to the goal keeper was unbelievable. He then made numerous mistakes including Lewis Cole's shot that cannoned off a defender being award as a goal kick.
Preddie came on as a sub, but on current form is behind Ireland, Tricker & Jarra in the pecking order
