Mmmm . . . . .
After reading that then, unless something dramatically changes, standby for the season to be voided in January.
That's the way I see it.
What do others think ?

Agreed.

A regional competition is a possibility.

Yes Agreed A Regional Competition Starting From Scratch With Maybe 10-12 Teams Locally Could Be Good Way Forward.
Obviously With No Promotion/Relegation.
For Once That Southern League Statement Was Fairly Cohererant!
I Still Would Have Liked A Date Given Now For January To Restart.
A Goal To Aim For.
Also I Must Say That Any Amount Of Cash Is Welcome But 14 Million Is Peanuts Compared To The Vast Amount Of Money In The Premier League
Sport England Through The Government With This Money But of Course This Is Taxpayers Money.
I Only Wish The FA Would Show Some Leadership Just For Once And Insist To The Premier League Fatcats That They Give Clubs Steps 3-6 30 Million Per Season Minimum To Fund Our Leagues Properly
We Are Grateful That The Premier League Did Give Some Grant Money Through Football Foundation in The Summer But It Needs To Go A Lot Further.

How about the Southern Prem South and Southern Div 1 South come together. 40 teams. 8 groups of 5 (sorted into local groupings). Play 8 group games (home and away vs rest of group) . Top 2 go through to a knockout stage.

I must admit I don't see the logic or the science behind voiding a competition due to the nature of an infectious virus, then simply going ahead and replacing it with another competition.

Regardless of what "Tier" you're in its still out there unless it's completely eradicated and you could still potentially catch it. (thank God this isn't the Bubonic plague... )

It doesn't matter what competition you play it's still an infectious disease potentially infecting people. It's either safe to play football and fans to watch or it isn't.
