21 clubs in the league again with Merthyr back after their sabbatical.
Getting to a game simply can't come soon enough for me.
Any news on player comings and goings?
Twitter is full of other clubs at our level announcing signings and departures

Unless you are putting players on contracts its very difficult to announce players at this early stage as you cannot even register them with the league yet.

I will try to add the fixture list as and when we know. So far I have found the following;
10th July - Away vs Ashford Town (Middx)
3rd August - Home vs Hampton & Richmond

A tenner for a June friendly - Is there a meal included for that price?

Did anyone go last night?
I see we won 5 - 1 with a couple for George Moore and one each for MCS and D Wynter plus A. N. Other which is always a trialist who is currently playing for another club.

Hello Majors, I was at the game. From what I saw the game was used to try players out. Some old faces played for us, and others watched from the stands. Glad to see the likes of DT back! special mention to coley who captained us for the game, a real credit to the club. Hope to see him starting next season...

Looks like no-one could be bothered Majors, can't say I blame them!
But looking at the pre-season fixture list that has just been announced (they look quite good IMO)
There's a few there I'm hoping to get to.

The full schedule is
July (kick off times to be confirmed)
1st. Virginia Water (A)
3rd. Hertford Town (A)
10th. Ashford Town (Middx) (A)
13th. Potters Bar (N)
15th. Spelthorne (A)
17th. Uxbridge (H)
21st. QPR (H)
24th. FC Romamia (A)
27th. Hanwell Town (H)
29th. Westfield (A)
31st. Bracknell Town (H)
Aug..
3rd Hampton & R. B. (H)
7th. Wingate & F. (A)
10th. Barnet (H)
14th. League starts.
A lot of games! 6 home friendlies which gives the club a chance to get some much needed cash. QPR u23s and Barnet seem like good matches.

Note the QPR match is vs a QPR XI, not the u23s.

Will attendances be well up, about the same as usual or much lower next season ?
- i.e. are fans craving to get back to watching live lower league football or have they broken the habit
and found different ways to spend their time during covid ?
Any views ?

Hello Geemickey, how are you? Personally i think the attendances will be the same. Some people will come watch non league after falling out with the higher leagues, some will go back to the higher leagues after being in non league for however long. We will have to see... lets hope its positive. For me, going back will not be the same. Before the virus I was in a routine of going to games home and away regardless of what the significance of the fixture was and not thinking about it. However due to COVID the habit has been broken. Hopefully when the season returns I will get back into it, but as thing stands I think I will be giving more consideration to other interest in life.

As long as they remain in the Southern League I'll try to get to as many games as I possibly can.
But I do wonder how the next season will play out when Covid cases inevitably rise when winter kicks in.
To my mind once everybody has been vaccinated or have been offered vaccination, no more lockdowns, no more restrictions we just have to live as we did pre March 2020 and get on with it.
