Player goings
Views: 1850
Babs Jarra and Chinua Cole have departed.
James Ewington has signed a one year contract. Previously with Beaconsfield, St Albans, Northwood and Walton Casuals. Was quite prolific at step 4. Perhaps teaming him upfront with Liam Ferdinand, who scored twice at Wembley for Binfield yesterday, will be a great partnership.

Excellent News About MCS and Jordan Ireland.
I'm Sure Town Colours Dave Will Be Delighted About Jordan Staying!
Marc Is A Good Target Man Holds The Ball Up Well and Knows Where The Goal Is And Vast Experience.
Jordan Excellent Technical Player But I Get The Feeling There Is More To Come Hopefully Goal Wise From Midfield.
I Think We Have The Makings Of a Very Good Season Coming and Look Forward To That 1st Pre Season Match Against Uxbridge at Earlsmead Saturday 17th July 3pm!!!
Come On You Reds!!!

Looks like we could still do with adding some full backs. Could also expect to see Brendan Matthew and Dernell Wynter added to the list.

I make that 15 in the squad so far?
Only one 'new' signing so far.
Quite surprised by the number of players that Steve Baker has brought back.
Most fans who had the misfortune to see the capitulations against Met Police, Cray Valley and Burgess Hill before the season was prematurely ended were calling for fresh faces in the squad.
Lets hope there are a few new additions around the corner who will compete for places in the starting XI and the returning squad members repay the managers faith in them.

I agree - looks like we have a lack of full backs especially at the moment in terms of confirmed signings or commitments. Perhaps we will have a new right back and new left back in the near future.
Dan Lincoln, Dernell Wynter, Sam Gubbins and David Taylor will effectively feel like ‘new signings’.
Here are two possible lineups I think we could see;
442
Lincoln
RB Tricker Ireland LB
Keita Cole
Bryan Moore Wynter
Ewington
352
Lincoln
Tricker Ireland Taylor
Moore Keita Cole Bryan LB
Matthews
I really think that at this point, MCS is a squad player and not somebody we should rely on to start every game and score lots of goals. Kunle Oduteko needs to prove his worth too as he has been lacklustre since joining. I think another strong player in central midfield would be great too.

Well that is a major blow! I can only assume he wasn’t too happy with how pre season went. Or was offered more money but I wouldn’t say Walton have the biggest budgets.
This might explain the tweet that Steve Baker did about a week ago, where a manager poached his player without giving him a call.
