A good effort I thought from Boro today and perhaps on another day it could have gone our way.
There certainly wasn't any lack of effort although I did think our final passes into the final third weren't as good as they were against Hartley Wintney, and perhaps that was the difference.
A wonder strike from Uche for the goal from well outside the box and u til their penalty I thought we were coping OK with the Salisbury pressure and chances. Las with another great performance and nearly saved the penalty.
Less chances in the second half and Salisbury caught us with a quick counter attacking goal and saw it out.
A couple of shots from George but we never really threatened their goal.
Still think these refs r being to lenient with some of the challenges put in by Salisbury, although I couldn't tell from where I was if it was a penalty or not.
Another tough one next against Poole which won't be easy.
C'mon U Reds!
Let's hope we can the win.

1st half it was very even and we created a few good chances.
Imran's goal was one of the best I've seen from a Boro player (Nothing will ever beat the Lee Endersby goal at Gravesend & Northfleet) and him playing in midfield was a master stroke. Tall, quick, athletic and strong - just the sort of player I've been crying out for in midfield.
Unfortunately with Tricker only able to play the 1st half Imran took his position at the back and we lost our competitive edge in midfield and Salisbury dominated possession in the 2nd half.
MCS put in a good shift but we do need to add another player of his physique as pumping high balls in to the box with our hobbit sized forwards for the last 25 minutes wasn't going to bear fruit.
Definite positives from the game and a good platform to build on going forwards.

Cheers Major For That Detailed Report From Saturdays Game At Salisbury.
I Think The Most Important Thing From Our 1st 3 Games Is We Are Competing Well And When We Have Everyone Fit And Firing We Shall Be A Match For Most Teams In This League.
As For Boroughs Greatest Ever Goal For Me It Must Be Frank Seward When We Beat Wealdstone 3-0 In 1977.
God Rest Frank.
Hoping For A Home Tie In The Fa Cup Draw For The 4th September and As Ever.
Come On You Reds!!!

Thank You Earlsmead Part Timer For That Excellent Report Which Is A Great Help To Us Forum Members Who Weren’t At Salisbury Today.
From What You Say It’s Sounds A Close Game Which We Deserved a Point From.
As For Challenges Well l Think Most On The Forum Know My Views That We Have Got To Be Prepared To Mix It With The Opposition As This Is Quite a Physical League Compared To The Isthmian League Which l Pray God We Can Be Back In One Day.
I Had a Most Enjoyable Afternoon At Northwood In Their Fa Cup Premlinary Round Game Which Ended 1-1 With Burnham And A Replay Tuesday Night At Burnham!

Yep I personally thought that we were worth a point, although if u were a fan of Salisbury u probably thought u did enough to win. A good game for the neutral fan.
Certainly we were a lot better from what other fans were telling me about the Yate game!
