Just Had a Look At The Hendon Fc Highlights Package On You Tube.
Really Must Say That Hendon Goalkeeper Pulled Of A Great Save From That Corner To Deny Shauns Header.
A Worldie Save!
Overall We Got The Ball In Good Areas And Very Unlucky To Lose!
Just On The Goal The Priority There Is To Stop That Cross Coming Into The Box.
Some Fans Won’t Agree With This l Know But This Is Where Successful Teams Practice The “Dark Arts” They Would Ankle Tap And Concede A Free Kick To Stop The Cross Coming Over And Thus Preventing The Goal.
I’m Very Confident If We Play To That Level Against Ramsgate in The Fa Cup On Saturday That We Will Win.
We Definitely Have Better Quality Players To Beat A Team From Step 4.

Wouldn't the cross just come over anyway after you've conceded the free kick with perhaps a yellow or red card to boot for good measure.?

Yes Indeed The Cross Would Come From The Free Kick But We Could Have The Team Defending The Area And Not The One On One That Lead To The Goal.
An Ankle Tap Maybe a Yellow Agreed But Far Better That Than Losing A Goal In My Considered View!

Perhaps after the free kick our defending could have been even worse Terry, just like it was against Poole Town when they scored their 4th goal. (After we gave away a free kick)

It's all very well practicing the "dark arts" and "gamesmanship" as you say, and I agree there can be a time and place for it. But you've got to be very careful where u do it and certainly never near your penalty box or in most of your own half.
That's why you hear Steve and the management team constantly shouting out "no foul" to our players in those dangerous areas. In fact opposition coaches and managers shout out exactly the same thing as well.

I Remember When Wayne Walters Was Playing For Us When Any Opposition Player Was In Our Box Wayne Would Say Stand Up In Other Words No Fouls.
When l Said Ankle Tap Maybe l Should Say Obstruct So The Cross Didn’t Go In.
I Know In The Game They Call It The Dark Arts Maybe Football Nous Could Be A Better Term But The Plain Fact Is If That Good Cross Hendon Put In Had Been Stopped We Would Have Left Silver Jubilee Park With A Deserved Point!
