A Seven Goal Thriller And Another Comeback Win Against Hendon In The Southern League Cup.
Always A Pleasure Visiting Silver Jubilee Park And And A Thoroughly Entertaining Game.
Bit Of A Mix and Match Side But Thats Fine It Shows Good Competition For Places Which Is Always Good!
Hendon Started Brightly And Took The Lead But We Got a Own Goal To Make It 1-1.
Hendon Went 2-1 But Dernell Wynter Making A Welcome Return Got It To 2-2 Just Before Half Time.
Frank Keita Made It 3-2 With A Majestic Header From a Good Cross After The Break and George Moore With a Typically Cool Finish Made It 4-2 Before A Late Lapse Gave Hendon A Lifeline From Shaun Lucien One Of Our Ex Players.
A Match Played In A Good Competitive Spirit Nearly Boiled Over With An Idiotic Challenge On George Moore In The Last Minute In Which He Was Barged Into The Steel Fence Surrounds But George Is A Tough Fella And Happily Appeared Ok.
But The Most Important Thing Is That We Won And For The Second Game In A Row That We Came From Behind!
Yes Some Excellent Finishing But Also Getting The Ball In Good Areas With Good Crosses As We Saw With Frank Keitas Excellent Header For The 3rd Goal.
Man Of The Match Again A Toughie But Frank Keita Deserves It For His All Round Efforts and That Wonder Header!
We Are On A Roll Now And Certainly Nothing To Fear From The Likes Of Weston Super Mare and Farnborough In The League Or An Average Welling Team In The FA Cup Who Were Beaten By The “Might” Of Hungerford Town 4-1 On Their Home Ground Recently!!!
