Marlow At Home!

We Have Been Drawn At Home To Marlow In The 3rd Qualifying Round
Of The FA Cup On Saturday 2nd October.
Although Marlow Have Started Well They Are In Step 4 But With Home Advantage And The Better Players We Have I Think This Is A Very Good Draw And Very Winnable Match.

A few ex Boro players in their squad. Including Adam Richards & Kameron English .
This will be a tough tie.

They have won every game so far this season and are yet to concede a goal.

I would have preferred to have been drawn against a team struggling for form and momentum (although obviously they would have needed to have won at least 1 match to be in this round of the cup), so a little disappointing for me especially as they have won all seven matches in league and cup without letting in a single goal. Despite all that, it's a winnable game for us. I'm sure we will be a big step up for them compared to the seven teams they have played so far.

I Fully Respect What HarrowRed & Middlesex Wanderer Have Said,
But l Agree With Cappers That This Is A Big Step Up In Class For Marlow.
Looking At The You Tube Highlights Of Their FA Cup 1st Qualfying Tie At Sheppey Of The South East Counties League Which Is Step 5 Level,
Marlow Looked 2nd Best From What l Saw And Vunerable To Crosses And Balls Played In Behind Their Defence.
Sheppey Were Denied A Clear Penalty For Handball By The Ref And The Goal Marlow Scored Came From A Poor Clearance.
Also Some Shameful PlayActing When Marlow Had A Player Sent Off.
So To Be Honest Although Marlow Have A Perfect Record From What l Saw Against Sheppey They Don’t Look Anything Special And I Am Very Confident We Will Knock Marlow Out Of The FA Cup On Saturday 2nd October!

Playing against a side in such good form should mean that the team don't go into the game with any complacency.
Let's hope the guys in charge of the social media at the club can publicise the tie well and a good crowd attends.
It makes a huge difference having a squad now where players aren't guaranteed to start every week.
Long may that continue.

Hello Majors Hat.
Yes A Good Point About Being Complacent But As Cappers And Myself Said,This Is A Big Leap In Class For Marlow And I Think We Will Be Far Too Good For Them.
Hopefully A Sunny Day And A Good Crowd And Us Forum Members Can Spread The Word To FriendsTo Come Along And Support Borough.
The Squads Looking Deep Now With The Players Fighting For Places And Being Part Of Our Winning Run Which We Will Extend To 6 In A Row When We Beat Dorchester At Earlsmead On Saturday!

Thoroughly Deserved The Win At Welling On Saturday Major.
But From What I Saw At Welling, We Definitely Had The Better Players And Better Gameplan From Steve Baker And His Coaching Staff.
I’m Expecting The Same Against Marlow Who On The Evidence Of The You Tube Video Against Sheppey Look Like A Very Average Side.

Here’s a stat from the @FACupFactFile twitter account:

It's the 4th time the clubs have been drawn together in FA Cup with Harrow Borough winning all 3 previous encounters.

Agreed but Welling also have been in bad form whereas we have hit a good spell. I do think it will be very close and we don’t deal well with being favourites normally. Definitely winnable but would be nice to see Marlow drop some points and concede some goals in their next couple of matches before they visit Earlsmead.

Hello HarrowRed.
Well Sheppey Were Denied A Clear Penalty And With Better Finishing Would Have Knocked Marlow Out Of The FA Cup From What l Saw On The Highlights On You Tube.
Nothing Wrong With Being Favourites.
It Means People Expect You To Win.
But The Crucial Thing Now Is The Players And Management Are Expecting To Win Hence Our 5 Wins In A Row!
Nothing To Fear From Marlow On The Evidence Of The Sheppey Game.

Both teams playing well.
It's going to be a close match in my opinion.
A definite potential "banana skin" for the Boro.

To win it we've got to be right at the top of our game.

Hello Earlsmead Part Timer Always Respect Your View.
I Think In The Past Maybe A “Banana Skin” But Not Now I Sense The Players And Management Are A Lot More Reciliant And Confident And Let’s Be Honest Judged On The Video For All To See On You Tube Against Sheppey Marlow Were Lucky To Win And In My Opinion Marlow Are Nowhere Near The Standard Of Welling And Farnborough Who We Both Beat Well.

Welling management team resign after losing to Harrow Borough!

Following this weekend’s exit from The FA Cup we are disappointed to announce that the Club has accepted the resignations of both Steve Lovell and Tristan Lewis.

The Club wishes to place on record its thanks to both Steve and Tristan for all of their efforts since arriving shortly before the end of the curtailed 2020-21 season and wish them both the very best for the future.

Cappers & Earlsmead Part Timer Thank You For That Breaking News About Welling.
The Truth Is We Definitely Had A Superior Gameplan From Steve Baker And His Staff And The Players Carried It Out Superbly Playing A Good Pressing Game And Defending Solidly When Needed To.
We Play That Way Against Marlow There Can Only Be One Outcome!!!
