Chelmsford City At Home!
At Home To Chelmsford City On Saturday 16th October For Our Big 4Th Qualifying FA Cup Match.
I’m Sure Most Of Us Would Have Taken Such A Match Before The Draw.
Chelmsford Like Welling,Are Struggling At The Wrong End Of National League South Table And Have Only Scored 8 League Goals In 10 Matches!
I Would Say With Home Advantage At Earlsmead That lm Very Confident We Will Beat Them And Get A Place In The FA Cup 1st Round!!!

Chelmsford supporter here. Just to correct you, we've only played 7 league games, not 10. Our record is W2 D2 L3, but we've already played a number of the big hitters / pre season favourites in our league such as Maidstone, Ebbsfleet & Dorking. Anyway, looking forward to visiting Earlsmead again - last visit was I think in 2007/8.

Thanks John P For That Correction.
But Still Only Scored The 8 Goals.
Looking Forward To Seeing The Chelmsford Fans At Earlsmead On Saturday Week And An Exciting Game!

Interesting draw . We played them some years ago at home on one of our cup runs and they scored a wonderful OG which helped us through to the next round. Was when we had our best period in the 1980s. Am sure someone will come up with the exact cup and year. We also owe them one for nearly relegating us some years ago when DH was manager from memory. Luckily we got a reprieve.

That wonderful own goal, possibly the finest ever scored on our ground, curled into the top corner from 25 yards out. Was in December 1982 in an FA Trophy replay. Clevere Forde scored the other goal in a 2-1 win.

Thanks Alan Middlesex Wanderer.2-1 To Borough We Would Certainly Take All These Years On Again And I Remember Clevere Forde Fondly Part Of Our Great Side Of The Early-Mid Eighties.

A home draw is I guess all you can ask for, although I do like a good away day !
A great chance for our team to hit the big time. We will see.

Hello Dave Town Colours Thanks For That.
I’m Saying This Is A Very Good Draw Against Very Limited Opponents.
Watching The You Tube Video Of Chelmsford Against Little Oakley Of The Essex Border League In Their 2nd Qualifying Round Match They Were Struggling Whenever A Decent Cross Came In And Were Struggling To Beat A Step 5 Side!!!
I’m Giving An Early Score Prediction Of 3-0 To Boro!!!

Seems an intriguing tie. Whilst an ex league team would have been good, this is definitely a good fixture. A home game against a team who like Terry says are in the bottom half definitely gives us a chance. Let’s hope our form doesn’t tail off before the game. An exciting tie for sure.

I'm quite happy with that draw. As I've previously mentioned, quite a few NLS teams have already lost to lower division teams including Welling obviously!
Let's be quite clear though, Chelmsford are a much better team than Welling. Welling are a shambles on and off the pitch.
I just think with our form at the moment, we've got every chance of winning this one but it will be tough.

Thanks Cappers For Your Views.
Just Looking At How Chelmsford Like To Play If We Can Close Them In Midfield They Dont Seem To Have A Plan B And Look Vulnerable To Crosses At The Back.
The We Are Playing At The Moment lm Confident That We Shall Win This But Of Course We Respect Chelmsford And Look Forward To A Great Match Saturday Week!!!
