Swindon Supermarine Tonight

Away to Swindon tonight in a game we will be favoured to win, and in my opinion, must not lose if we have realistic hopes of the playoffs.

Swindon come into it off of the back of a 3-1 defeat at home to 5th place Yate Town. However, when suffering heavy defeats this season, Supermarine have bounced back well.

Lost 3-0 v Hayes followed by 1-1 v Met Police
Lost 5-0 v POole followed by 4-1 win v Larkhall
Lost 4-2 v Salisbury followed by 1-1 v Hendon
Lost 5-1 v Beaconsfield followed by 1-1 v Truro

They have only lost 3 times at home this season, whilst also beating Farnborough 5-2, drawing with Met Police and Gosport. They have only lost 2 games in a row once this season, two 1-0 defeats a month ago to Taunton Town and Hartley Wintney.

They recently lost their top two strikers, however one has returned from Salisbury after only two weeks and they have brought in a striker from Bristol Rovers on loan who has scored 5 goals in 5 games. They will certainly be a threat upfront. Their match report v Yate said that Yate were very direct so perhaps a Terry style approach tonight will benefit us.

I think we will get our first draw of the season tonight, 1-1, which has already happened 7 times this season for Swindon.

Yes , I think this is a difficult game .
Mid week away is never easy wherever it is .

I think we will do very well to get a draw.

Hello Earlsmead Part Timer Thank You For That.
Yes Personally A Point Would Be A Ok Result But I’m Confident We Can Win The Match.
We Have Got Such A Good Deep Squad Now And Just Grind Out A Result As We Did At Merthyr.
Keep The Scorelines Coming Please!

Thanks For That Most Detailed Analysis Of Tonight’s Game In Swindon HarrowRed.
I Think Your Right,Horses For Courses Needed Sometimes And Tonight Could Be Such A Game In That Not Necessarily Who Plays The Best Football But Who Wants It More As l Would Expect It To Be Quite A Physical Affair Out West.
I’m A Disciple Of 4-4-2 And Quite A Direct Style And Would Like To See James Ewington And Dernell Wynter From The Start As l Think They Would Work Well Together.
That Win At Merthyr Saturday Was Vital In Getting Back On The Winning Trail And The Good Thing Is The Squad Is Deep Enough Now To Cope With The Loss Of Shaun Preddie,Who l Hope Is Back As Soon As Poss.
So An Interesting Game This,With The Bookies Making Us Marginal Favourites At 11/8 Even Though We Are The Away Side.
I Share Their Opinion And If We Can Stick To The Basics And Take The Game To Swindon Supermarine l Can See Only One Result And Thats A Borough Win By Yes You Guessed It 2-1 To Borough.
My Fav Scoreline!
But Forum Friends Please Do You Have A Scoreline For Tonight’s Big Game In Wiltshire.
Score Forecasts Most Welcome Please.
As Ever.
