Hello all.
Hope everyone is well, and keeping safe. Does anyone have information regarding our 1996/97 newcastle style kit? Was wondering how this came about. Also, would appreciate some information on that season as whole. Thank you in advance.

I dont think there is a story to it. It is just one of many combinations that we have used as an away kit over the years.

Hello Ash Boro Loyal And Middlesex Wanderer.
I Can Always Remember All Blue As Our 2nd Kit And One Of The First Games l Saw At Earlsmead In 1975 I Think It Was The Reserves And They Were Wearing Blue.
As For 96/97 Ash I Was Just Getting Back Into Supporting Borough Again After An 8 Year “Stretch” Running A Painting Business!
But Today 24 Th November 2021 Is 30th Anniversary Since We Lost The Great Freddie Mercury From Queen And If Forum Members Don’t Mind Me Saying

I think the blue second strip back in the 70's & early 80's was a light or sky blue, unlike the awful kit(royal blue) we replaced a couple of years ago with the current yellow one.

The Yellow Kit Is Ok At Least Players Are Visible!
