I thought overall we were pretty poor today. The odd flash of good play here and there but Gosport were comfortable and deserved their win.
Three sloppy goals given away and James E just not getting the service he needs up front to score the goals.
Virtually the same team that went toe to toe with Portsmouth and narrowly lost, easily beaten by their non league neighbours. Something is not quite right somewhere.

We had a decent first 15 minutes until we conceded the opening goal when our defending at a corner was of Sunday league division 9 level at best.
As soon as we conceded Gosport bossed the rest of the game. George nearly equalised on the stroke of half time but the game was over a few minutes into the 2nd half when Gosport scored twice. Defending / lack of it again nor helping our cause.
Very soft penalty given against us and a fabulous save from Josh to keep it at 3-0.
Unfortunately there seemed a lack of fight and pride when the chips were down with only George and Samuel playing as though it was still 0-0.
Need to address the lightweight midfield for next season as yet again we were bullied there by a couple of ugly but effective opponents.

I think quite possibly we should look at having another little tweak in formation. Maybe going to 3 at the back with some wing backs again or moving Preddie/Mansfield into midfield again to bulk it up a little. Keita seems to be not favoured at the moment, yet he was a consistent goal scorer earlier in the season.
Strizovic
Mansfield Preddie Taylor
Adenola Keita Donnellan Cole Ikebuasi
Moore Ewington
I still think we need a bully in central midfield, but with the season pretty much over for us (won’t get playoffs, shouldn’t go down😐) perhaps spending more money on a higher quality player isn’t a good idea, if there is even one available!

Agreed.
Teams who beat us tend to have at least one but sometimes two aggressive midfielders who simply compete and disrupt play.
When the team doesn't play well we are easy to beat and can't grind out results.

Exactly what we need and have done for a while.
No coincidence that we went on that great run when Imran was in the side with his physical style and presence.

Joachim Ehui played for us years ago. A decent player that played mostly wide midfield
I think it's very unlikely he is a player to take a mid table Southern premier division side to anything higher.
Frank Keita is a better player than him. Hopefully he will get back in the side & regain his early season form.
I agree we do need a strong midfielder to play alongside or ahead of Leo Leo Donnelan .
Michael Bryan needs to step up to the plate, he has been poor for the last month or so.
I wasn't impressed with the left back yesterday, hopefully he will improve
