Hayes 4 Boro 2

Disappointing result after getting back to 2-2 early in the second half.

Not sure about the decision to play Moore at right wing back & Mansfield in midfield . We started as if the players didn't know who was playing where too.

2 down after a few minutes it looked like a cricket score was on the cards.
Boro fought back well and deserved to pull it back to 2-2 a few minutes into the 2nd half.
Unfortunately the last half an hour we couldn't string 2 passes together and defended poorly.
Not helped by losing 2 defenders to injury during the game - no defenders on the bench?
There must be a couple of defenders in the under 23s who are worth having a look at?
Wimborne on Saturday is starting to look like a 6 pointer.
Let's hope the players can all 'Be a goldfish' and finally stop the rot.

Shame we couldn't get anything out of the game (I wasn't there BTW) but their not at the top challenging Farnborough for nothing, so a tough ask.

Yep Wimborne game is a chance to stop the rot and they are struggling at the bottom and not in good form.
I've seen them play a couple of times this season and to be fair they didn't look that bad and if we play to our potential we should be able to get a draw or come away with all 3 points.
But if we come and think we have just got to turn up or "phone in" a performance to get 3 points I've no doubt they will turn us over.

Mind you with all this rain forecast this week could easily be called off. Their home game with Salisbury was last night.

Brief 'highlights' here.
Defending not great from either side and their keeper seemed to think our 2nd was going wide / over?

I saw Beaconsfield signed two players from Hayes, their captain and a very experienced midfielder. I thought we were due some more signings but none have been forthcoming. I’m not against that idea as we’re unlikely to go down so why spend more when we don’t need to.

I agree though, is there one or two from the U23s who could be given a go? Drazic could be given a run in goal as we are unlikely to keep Strizovic next season.

A pretty good display after conceding 2 early goals. The second would qualify for goal of the season. Antonio played his best match for us so far scoring both goals and being a real handful for their defence . Think this is the first match he has played the full 90 mins and he surely should start in future on this form. Both goals were set up for him by James E and they may be able to form a good partnership. We faded somewhat late on I would say mainly due to injuries. H&Y will probably win the league and look a good side. Saturday is an important one to get something from - hopefully the injuries will be short term and Sam will be fit. The match should be on with the opposition have a plastic surface - storms permitting. COYB.

I've been there a couple of times , definitely not a plastic pitch.
Often floods down one end .

Personally I'd be amazed if it goes ahead seeing they postponed Tuesdays game against Salisbury.
Anyone coming down should keep an eye on twitter and social media for updates.

You are of course right Earlsmead part timer. Seems I got the wrong end of the stick - they have a plastic training pitch.
As you say the game may well be in doubt especially with predicted storms.
