Not a problem guys.

If we keep getting the lineups through then I will do my best to add info on any new names. I imagine the majority from that lineup won’t be in the squad come the first game of the seasons but probably any central midfielders have the best chance as we’re really lacking there.

Jaden Sharman is an intriguing one. Seems as though he could play anywhere along the back line, is still only about 20/21 years old and played a full season in the Isthmian last year. I know SB said he wants to add some experience and I imagine that will mainly be in the centre of midfield but probably another experienced CB wouldn’t go amiss if we have Adenola, Biler, Sharman, Songolo and Taylor alongside Preddie.

I note David Taylor has joined Northwood.

Potential squad as it stands;

GK: Drazic
D: Adenola? Preddie, J Taylor, Biler, Songolo, Griffith, Sharman, Ikebuasi?
M: Leonard, Bryan, Moore, El-Mhanni?, Oduteko?
S: Ewington, Evans, Brown, Williams, Mitchell

Songolo did play in midfield but is normally a centre back.

The two North Greenford guys have scored a fair amount of goals between them over the last couple of seasons.
Happy to see attacking players brought in from the steps below to see if they can kick on.
Experience at the back and in the middle of the park with some exciting less experienced guys going forward is a good mix.
Centre mid will definitely need addressing. Possibly a loan signing there to give us the Imran type player again?

The problem with the NGU players are that it’s football from 2 levels below. It’ll be quite a step up.

SB did talk on his recent interview about looking at a couple of loans. I wonder if George Moore or Michael Bryan might see more game time in a central midfield role.

I'd still take a chance on players from 2 levels below. Samuel was playing below that level before we signed him and flourished last season.
George is our best player and it was a relief to see him in the pre season training video last week as loads of clubs are constantly sniffing around him.
Would be nice to let him play in one position instead of having him start wherever we're short.
I'd like some physicality and pace in centre mid - Michael definitely doesn't tick those boxes.

4-0 win over Virginia Water. 3 goals from Josh Williams and 1 from James Ewington.

Williams started on the bench and came on to get 3 goals in the second half. He has to be ahead of Montel Brown at the moment. Montel missed a good chance and a penalty vs London Colney and missed a 1v1 last night. Williams has 4 goals in his playing time which is encouraging. Previously scored a bagful of goals for Ware so we may have found a goalscorer.

A couple of new names last night;

Charlie Taylor - GK, last season played for Cheshunt and Harlow Town. Has also represented Panama u20s.

Lanre Ladipo - spent last season at Kings Langley. His only goal was a winner against us. Also made a couple of appearances for Hayes last season and in previous years has turned out for Tring Athletic and Kempston Rovers.

I agree. Kevin Songolo could be a very intriguing option there.

My first friendly this season.
An enjoyable game to watch in the sunshine.
It's not possible to know which new/trialists/u23's players are going to have a real impact yet, but the management team have a decent group to work with .

Michael Bryan scored a stunning free kick from 25+ yards.
