Swindon Away FA Trophy
Views: 1466
There is a pitch inspection at 3pm tomorrow afternoon.
I guess there is little chance of the game being played on Saturday.

It’ll have been 2 weeks since we played and 2.5 since Swindon played. Could be a sloppy match with not much match sharpness. Hopefully everyone will be available as we give it a right go

An extra rest for Shaun Preddie could be a factor in or favour.
But the forecast of heavy rain on a pitch that will be wet from defrosting is cause for concern.

Fascinating draw IF we get through. We will know by Wednesday who it will be, but the choice of a home game vs either a National League side with a good following or against a team at the same level as us is a win-win in my opinion. It really makes Wednesday an even bigger game than it already was!

That's a good draw. As has already been said, playing a big national team at home that used to be in the football league (before they went bust) with a decent following would be great. Playing Guiseley would be good too as they are at our level so definitely winnable. Plus it would be nice to play a northern team, such a rarity for us.
Massive game against Supermarine first though!

Financially, tonight's game is the most important of the season, with prize money for a win and a decent gate against Halifax on offer.
Let's hope all Borough's players are in good shape following the layoff, realize what's at stake and WIN.

We started the game very well & finished it exceptionally. A lull either side of half time, but what a terrific win.
Well Done to all, after the evening started disastrously when the coach failed to turn up. A convoy of cars set off with kit loaded into players & supporters cars.

Fantastic result !
I thought a brave/intelligent double substitution by the management team midway through the second half turned it around in our favour, as it seemed to me the closely contested game was starting to drift away from us being 1-0 down .
What a night !

Totally agree. The substitutions worked perfectly.
All the players were magnificent but I would put extra praise on Ezra, when we were under pressure early in the second half he was everywhere. He always works extremely hard, but last night his defensive positional sense was Bobby Moore level!

The subs allowed George to roam around the pitch and cause Swindon a lot of problems.

Highlights up on the Swindon website
Have just watched the penalty decision.. That's shocking, bordering on corrupt.
Thankfully it didn't cost us.

A few other really bad decisions in the highlights too.
It was clearly all us first half and a more even second half but off of those highlights I would definitely say we were worth the win!
A great result and hopefully a fun and fan filled ground for the next round!

Good grief !
I thought the ref made some poor decisions for both sides last night and the video has just confirmed it.
Dreadful !
