Any score predictions?
I hope we can keep it close and give it a real go. I’m going for Halifax 2-1

Halifax are there for the taking. On a terrible run. Can't score. Their fans are up in arms on their forum.
I would expect a team from our level that has half decent form and decent confidence to give them a really good game and possibly beat them. Unfortunately, that isn't us.
Hopefully, we'll up our game for this one but I'm going for 0-2 to The Shaymen.

An exiled Boro fan now living ooop North said in a text message to me this morning 'Boro will either nick it 1 - 0 or Halifax will score so many that it will be spelt out of the vidiprinter.
Can't disagree with that..
It's a freebie so just go out and have a go.
Head says 3-1 defeat.
Heart says through on penalties after a 2 - 2 draw.

Gutted to lose on penalties but everyone in the squad and coaching staff should be immensely proud tonight.
George coming up with more magic than Paul Daniels.
Devastating for James Taylor to crumple to the ground with nobody near him on his first start after the best part of 5 months out.
Take that effort and attitude into our league games and the wins will start stacking up.
Proper cup tie tonight. Great atmosphere.
It would be nice if a few of those in attendance tonight wearing Boro scarves, who rarely if ever come to Earlsmead, attend again and give the boys some support in the 15+ cup finals we have coming up.

So close majors! Your prediction was nearly right. We played very well. Halifax did not look like a team in form or with confidence. Very little pattern of play or dominance in possession. The Boro players really worked hard defensively and tactically. If they transfer this to league games, we will pick up those much needed points. If we had the new striker upfront today, I think we might have won it.
Cappers - check out the Instagram page. There’s some highlights on there including both Moore goals. The free kick was absolutely outrageous!

I listened to the match on the Halifax Town radio station. The commentators were fair and complimentary about us.
A terrific effort from the players. We were so close to winning the penalty shoot out too.
We have to find some form now to stay up. Hopefully this performance will give us the confidence and belief we need.

Like everyone else I'm hoping for a Boro win but can't see anything else other than a comfortable Halifax win.
3-0 to the Shaymen.

I think we were not too bad last Saturday at Hendon. Especially considering lack of match fitness and being unable to train properly for a while.
Will go against other predictions and think we will perhaps spring a surprise 3-0 win.

Yep seconded, that's a great post. Gutted I couldn't be there (would have been if it hadn't been postponed)
Like Cappers listened on Halifax Town Radio. Must have been a great atmosphere.
COYR's let's get climbing up the league table .

Firstly, congrats of reaching the last 32. Memories of 1983 and that day away, then home to Telford. Take that spirit into the league and all will be well.

Hi Exile
I don't know if have had a look at the Harrow Boro History Pages, there is reports from 1982/83 on every League & FA Trophy match on its 40th anniversary. There are a number of photo albums too.
Over the next couple of months some classic match photo albums will be uploaded, including Enfield, Barrow x 3, Wealdstone! & Telford. Many of the photos have never been published before.
